  • How Writing Heals Trauma

Creative writing has truly been a beautiful outlet to express myself and how I am feeling. It helps make sense of my trauma and aids me in navigating a tough reality. I highly encourage this practice! If you cannot find ways to express yourself comfortably, start with creating characters, settings, and plots!

Thanks for listening! I hope you enjoyed it!

    Sincerely,

    Madi M

  • How to be Alone: overcoming codependence, finding security, and more

Recently, I've relearnt how to be ok in my own company. It's not easy, but learning to be alone in Christ is crucial to our overall development as a person. I hope you're able to recognize there is no shame in wanting to be alone as long as you're not in isolation. Balance is possible :)

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” -Psalm 23:4

  • The Power of Words: validation, conflict response, and more

    Hi there!

For this episode, I wanted to share what I've learned about the power of words. Thinking before I speak was never my strong suit until I started incorporating my faith into this practice. Praying for peace when I speak and my words to reflect Christ has been an absolute game changer.

I hope and pray as a society we can work together as a society to spread God's love, light and truth with our words.

“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”  Psalms 19:14

Here are some Scriptural Affirmations I wanted to share so you can root yourself in them and share with others:

1.) I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)

2.) I am the salt of the earth and light of the world.(Matthew 5:13-16)

3.) God loves me through my imperfections (Romans 8:38-39)

4.) I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)

5.) Through the pain and suffering, God's plan and purpose for my life will prosper me. (Jeremiah 29:11)

6.) I have been renewed in Christ. (2 Timothy 1:7)

7.) I am clothed in strength and dignity. (Proverbs 31:25)

8.) God hears me. (Philippians 4:6)

9.) God's timing is perfect and there's a reason behind it. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

    Sincerely,

    Madi M

  • Turning a New Leaf

    Hi everyone.

These past few months, I have been reflecting a bit on how I've used social media, especially during this breakup. I've felt convicted and recognized I allowed my emotions to get the better of me and spread more negativity rather than encouragement, although it was not my intention. Instead of documenting my healing and growth journey, I documented my spiral into resentment and anger. I would like to apologize to anyone who felt offended or unsettled listening or watching my content. I also want to apologize to anyone who I spoke hurtful words to outside of my platforms. I've recognized the importance of being careful with my words as I am unable to take them back. I intend, moving forward, to document my healing and growth with more discretion and encouragement. I intend to speak life not death on my platforms and to others around me. God has truly worked wonders in my life especially these past couple of months. I can't wait for you all to see a new Madi and come along on the next book I'm writing!

    Sincerely,

    Madi M
