A 2022 Forward Analytics report found that at least 140,000 housing units need to be built by 2030 to keep up with demand. Here in Madison, we are facing an affordable housing crisis, even as new condos and apartments are popping up across the city. Justice Castañeda joins host Allen Ruff to explain the issue behind our current crisis.
Justice Castañeda is the Executive Director of Common Wealth Development, Inc. A Madison-based non-profit aimed at improving the housing and business climate through a people-first approach centered on racial justice and community level health improvement. He is also a co-chair of the City of Madison’s Housing Strategy Committee.
