Our guest today is General Mark Hertling, spent 37 years in the American Armed. He commanded every organization from Platoon to Field Army. Most notably, Hertling commanded the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division in Iraq during the troop surge of 2007 to 2008 and retired as Commanding General of the US Army Europe. He joins me now as we try to make sense of the war in the Middle East.
