I was recently working with a fabulous comedian by the name of Matt Stellingwerf, a young rising star from New Zealand and now killing it in the UK. We met in a very unusual place, and through our many conversations I realized that he had a very eloquent and creative view of comedy and magicians.. and  I really thought you should hear about it. 

Quite often we like to call ourselves comedy magicians, but are we actually COMEDY magicians? 

Do we know how to write comedy? 

Do we understand the fundamentals of connecting comedy with an audience? 

There aren’t that many books or even discussions on the blending of these two art forms so allow me to add a little bit to the conversation.
