I don't handle objections in my DMs. And no, it's not because nobody ever has them. 😭
I don't have a perfectly rehearsed response waiting for the “I need to think about it" objection to get thrown at me from a lead I've been speaking to for 3+ days.
I'm not sending a 7 minute voice note trying to uncover the “objection underneath the objection.”
And if somebody tells me she needs to sleep on a decision?
Girl, I let her get her freaking beauty sleep. 💀
Because somewhere along the way, online business became obsessed with learning how to handle objections at the END of the buying decision instead of asking why our content allowed so much uncertainty to survive until that point.
If your dream client reaches your DMs still needing you to explain why the problem matters, why your methodology makes sense, why you're worth the investment, why now matters and why she should trust herself enough to make the decision...your DM strategy isn't necessarily the problem.
Your content had weeks, sometimes MONTHS to shape those conclusions before you ever spoke.
And that's exactly how I've built my own sales process.
I don't want my content merely creating enough desire to get somebody into my DMs and then leaving me responsible for creating all of her certainty.
I want the woman entering my world to have already experienced enough of my thinking to understand why she wants my brain involved, enough of my methodology to know whether she believes in it, and enough clarity around her own problem to make an intelligent decision without me having to physically dragging her across the finish line.
Because the goal isn't to become so incredible at objection handling that you can convince anybody to buy, it's to build content that creates significantly less for you to handle in the first place.
In this episode, I break down:
💖 Why “I can't afford it,” “I'll think about it” and “I need to sleep on it” don't always begin inside the sales conversation and the beliefs sitting underneath them that your content could've addressed weeks earlier.
💖 The difference between handling an objection and changing the thinking that produces it, so you're not posting another desperate carousel called “why investing in yourself is worth it” 😭
💖 How I use content to pre sell my audience before they ever enter my DMs, so the conversation becomes less “Kelly, convince me this is worth it” and more “I know I want your brain on this, when can we start?”
💖 Why your content is unconsciously training your audience how to buy from you, and how constantly adding bonuses, explaining ROI, reassuring hesitation and following up can accidentally teach buyers that uncertainty gets rewarded with more convincing.
💖 Real examples of how I'd turn common objections into content, including “I can figure this out myself,” “I can't afford it,” “I need to think about it” and “I need to sleep on it” without literally writing objection-handling posts.
Because I don't want clients who bought because I happened to say the perfect sentence at the perfect moment and successfully talked them into a yes, I want women arriving already knowing why they want proximity to my brain, capable of making their own decisions and asking me where the hell they can pay. 💅🏻
Your content should be doing enough of the selling that your DMs don't feel like a 25/8 customer service job lol.
And in this episode, I'm showing you how.
