It's very important to control our minds and our emotions.  As we learn to do so by choosing to meditate on God's words, we can enjoy great benefits.

Reproof is a wonderful thing that we want to listen to because it produces great benefits.  Often Godly reproof is criticized as "judging".  The concept of judging has gotten twisted and is often used in inappropriate ways.

During Jeremiah's time, there were prophets who were speaking lies, not the Word of God.  But God said "The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully.  What is the chaff to the wheat?"  What are lies and vain words compared to the living and powerful words of God?  We don't need to be intimidated by false doctrines, we just need to be faithful to speak the real Word of God.

If we turn away from God, we go after vain things that can't profit us or deliver us, and we become vain.  So it's important to stay put on following God and loving God.

Because of Adam's sin, all people are born into a condition where they absolutely need a Savior.  People need to hear the gospel concerning Christ in order to get saved.  We're the ones who are to speak the gospel to people.

The Epistle of Jude was written at a time when circumstances were bleak.  A great lesson that can be learned from it is that it is important to contend for the faith, rather than contend against errors.

Just as God has forgiven us in Christ, we are to forgive others.  We are to let the peace that Christ made dominate our thinking.

Jesus Christ gave his life to pay for our sin, so we no longer need to be burdened by our sin.  We can instead view ourselves as righteous, holy and without blemish.

It's great to get born again.  But, once born again, we want to become mature in Christ.  The Apostle Paul labored hard in teaching so that people would become mature in Christ.  We want to do the same. 

We want to abide in Christ by learning all that we have and are in him and keeping it in our heart.  We are to walk in him as those who are rooted and built up in him.  When we do, we will bear much wonderful fruit.
