Episode 27 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla relates to the journey of Bharat to Chitrakoot. On the way Bharat meets Rishi Bhardwaj who welcomes him with caution and expresses doubts about Bharat’s journey. Bharat is heartbroken by the doubts. Bharat assures the Rishi that he is only going to Ram to get Ram crowned as the king of Ayodhya. Rishi is pleased. Rishi extends hospitality to the army and others accompanying Bharat. Next day, Bharat continues his journey. When Bharat’s caravan approaches Chitrakoot, the commotion unsettles the wildlife and birds of Chitrakoot. Ram notices it and asks Laxman to climb up a tree to find out the reason for the disturbance. Laxman sees from the top of a tree that the army of Ayodhya has surrounded Chitrakoot. Laxman thinks that Bharat is invading them. Laxman is furious. Ram calms him down. Ram tells Laxman that Bharat may be coming to see them out of love and not with any ulterior motives. (Ref. Episode 26 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla begins with describing the precautionary steps taken by Sumantr and Guh. Ram had begun his new life in the forest with brother and wife. During their first night in the forest, Ram became emotional remembering Ayodhya and all that had happened. Ram advised Laxman to go back to Ayodhya and take care of their mothers. Laxman, however, refused. The next day, they started travelling and by the evening reached the ashram of Rishi Bhardwaj. Rishi invited them to stay at his ashram. Ram refused the invitation and sought guidance from the Rishi about a good place in the forest where they could live for the next few years. Rishi advised them to go to Chitrakoot. Next day, they started their journey again and reached Chitrakoot after spending one night in the forest. In the meantime, Bharat along with the army and all key people of Ayodhya was on the way to meet Ram. Bharat reached the banks of river Ganga. Nishadraj Guh, friend of Ram, suspected that Bharat is on the way to kill Ram. Guh ordered his army on full alert and went to meet Bharat to investigate Bharat’s motive. Episode 25 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla begins with a discussion about how to determine one’s dharm in any particular situation. When moving out from Ayodhya, Ram is followed by large number of citizens. Ram tries to convince them to return. But they refuse to go back and are determined to accompany Ram into the forest. Ram, Sita and Laxman spend the night along with all those accompanying them on the bank of river Tamsa. Next day they leave early morning when all those who had followed them were asleep. They reach the banks of Ganga where they meet Guh who was the king of Nishad community. Guh helps them the next morning to cross the river. After crossing Ganga, they are now in the forest. Ram and Laxman now get ready for the life in forest. However, first they must arrange for food and eat since they had not eaten for two nights and two days. (Ref. Episode 24 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla begins with cremation and other last rites of Maharaj Dashrath followed by an incident involving Manthra, the maid-servant who had advised Kaikeyee. Shatrughan wishes to punish her but Bharat stops him saying that women cannot be killed. Guru Vasishth calls for all prominent persons to meet at the royal hall. Bharat is invited to the meeting and is ordered by Guru to get himself coronation. Bharat refuses to accept coronation and instead orders for moving to the forest. He declares that all of them will go the forest, crown Ram in the forest and bring him back as king of Ayodhya. He orders for all arrangements to be made and then leads the procession to the forest. Episode 22 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with a discussion about how Ram should be addressed – whether as Ram or Shri Ram. Getting back to the developments at Ayodhya, after the death of Maharaj Dashrath, Guru Vasishth orders fast-paced horsemen to go to Bharat who at his maternal grandfather’s place. Bharat comes back to Ayodhya and is shocked by all that has happened. He is very sad and is also extremely angry at his mother, Kaikeyee. He says some very harsh words to his mother.  (Ref. Episode 21 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the events of the night when Maharaj Dashrath breathed his last. Kausalya is immersed in sorrow and is very harsh on him, blaming him for the departure of Ram, Laxman and Sita. Maharaj Dashrath begs her with folded hands to not hurt him anymore. Kausalya accepts her mistake and begs pardon. Maharaj is pleased and goes to sleep. He gets up in the middle of the night remembering his past mistake of killing a rishi who had come to the river to take water for his old parents. He also remembers the curse that had been cast upon him by the rishi’s old parents – of dying in pain suffering from separation of beloved son. The pain is unbearable for Maharaj.
