Hawaii governor activated the national guard to keep volcano visitors safe.

We forgot to mention but they did find unexploded ordinance soon after the volcano erupted which they did explode safely while briefly closing the highway and it was reopened after an hour of that procedure.

The volcano is about 200 miles away from Oahu and still the vog has blown through the island chain affecting all visitors and residents.

It’s about 164 miles from Kailua, Oahu to Kailua Kona, Hawaii

Kailua to Mauna Loa is about 190 miles

The Honolulu Marathon celebrating 50 years since 1973

Malasadas were made fresh by La Tour Bakery for the race participants.

Pearl Harbor 1941 81 years ago memorial Dec 7 at 7:55 am…lots of people in attendance (looked like a few hundred at least, but news people said thousands).
