Loud, heavy, abrasive, and ready to rock, Nihiloceros have blasted onto the Brooklyn scene with what they call “trash pop.” The trio of Mike Borchardt, Alex Hoffman, and Gabe Savitz stormed into the live room at Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to share their jams with us for this session.

Oracle Room is the musical project of Brooklyn-based songwriter and singer Alex Nelson. Tapping into some sort of hazy cosmic wavelength, this super tight and highly skilled band’s songs float through the air, dropping bits of pop, rock, and dance textures around as they go, all carried by Nelson’s captivating vocal melodies. The band stopped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to share some tunes with us for this session.

Toebow is an NYC-based 5-piece band whose experimental, clever take on rock and jazz-inflected pop is original enough to need its own genre, progressive cartoon rock. Rising from the ashes of the band BOBBY around 2013, the band has been shapeshifting through the scene, formulating their current concoction of sounds  for their debut EP. They joined us in the live room at Serious Business Music in DUMBO to give us a taste of how all these pieces come together for this special session!

It’s been 4 years since the last time Aloud visited us at BTR Live Studio. Having left their unforgettable mark on the city of Boston, the band’s core of Henry and Jen have since moved to Los Angeles, though their East Coast ties are certainly intact via the rest of the band. While in town for the Tribeca Film Festival with the film All These Small Moments, which features some of their music, the gang stopped by to give us an update on their hooky, soulful, expertly-crafted rock n’ roll style.

The Falling Out Of Love single is available now.

Plymouth EP will be released May 18, 2018 from Good Eye Records.

Now, Miranda’s latest full length is a beautiful exploration of sound and a raw document of her emotions. She stopped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to share an intimate, exclusive performance with us.

New York rock group Operator Music Band land somewhere on planet sound between Kraftwerk and Devo, with minimalist, repetitive pulsations and woozy synth swells forming a base for their punchy, hypnotic future-music. Perhaps a bit retro but also totally of the moment, Operator Music Band is here and needs to be heard. They invaded Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to teach us a little lesson.

Citris is the grunge-inflected Brooklyn pop band headed up by singer/guitarist Angelina Torreano. The band stopped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to get their songs all stuck in our heads.
