Welcome to Stories Come to Life. This is episode Fourteen, book two, and I am your host, Kathryn Lopez Luker.  

When I was ten years old, I spent several weeks visiting my cousins during the summer. While I was there, I found my aunt’s treasured copy of Maida’s Little Shop, written by Inez Haynes Irwin and published in 1909. I was enchanted by the book and thought you might enjoy listening to it, too.
