Collaging with Compressure and Moiré patterns; an interplay between compression and interference artifacts
a very short experiment with Compressure v2, a granular datamoshing video instrument.
Some unstructured experimentation with Compressure v2, a live granular datamoshing instrument.
A few experiments with compressure on some videos created with my moire generator
Experimenting with the newest iteration of Compressure, my granular datamoshing digital video instrument.
short video of a camera moving through a forest, processed through compressure, my granular datamoshing instrument.
Short video showing off the interesting patterns that emerge from videos passed through compressure, my in-progress video processing software. The video starts with a few repeated half-second stutters before it starts to devolve into a weird, glitchy mess that's vaguely reminiscent of the "reaction diffusion" patterns exemplified by ex-zee-ex's Waaave Pool. I've been experimenting with a moire generator I wrote in openFrameworks and video compositing/collaging. This is more of an experiment than anything, as I wanted to see how moire patterns showed up in color, as images rather than solid colors
VD: 41-second video collage featuring heavily-edited IR-camera footage from a helicopter, a black-and-white cutout of a cop looking at us through binoculars, eight predator drones fanning out from the bottom-left corner, and cutout words that string together to form two sentences, where most of the words are shared: "nothing to hide" and "nowhere to hide"
