In this episode Matt covers the death of Elva Zona Heaster, known in popular culture as the Greenbrier Ghost. This lady was killed in her 20s in the 1890s, allegedly by her husband, a blacksmith named Trout. This took place during the heyday of spiritualism, mediums, and seances of the turn of the century. The killing was alleged to be true with the given legal testimony of a ghost, where the ghost of Zona supposedly visited her mother and told her that Trout was the murderer. This led to Trout's conviction, the first time anything of this nature had occurred in a US court. Tune in to find out whether Zona was killed or stuck in an "everlasting faint"
