This episode's food was handmade live by our host Kelsey using fresh chicken from Novak Farms, produce from Green Thumb Botanicals including gorgeous Romney peaches, and raw honey from Howe Sweet It Is. Kelsey made peach vinegar chicken, marinated in homemade peach butter. She added tomatoes, peaches, garlic and simmered it all together with honey and spices. She paired this dish with a a cherry crumble dessert, and the freshest salad using her own pickled dill green beans, more tomatoes and peaches, and a homemade peach vinaigrette dressing. Kelsey served a side of sourdough bread from The Bread Bowl with butter and some of the leftover peach butter. We were feeling peachy. We also tried coffee and iced matcha from Groove on the Move. In this live episode, coming to you from our booth at Bridgeport Farmers Market, Matt gives us weird food related crime: a tale about a local Martinsburg man driven wild by his cravings for more nacho cheese. Afterwards, Kelsey tells the incredible story of a one lane road and a rickety bridge in the small West Virginia border town of Vulcan.
