Our response to outrageous acts of wickedness must not be quiet affiliation, apathy, nor zealous rage, but a God-honoring pursuit of justice, truth, and victory that is above reproach.

Jacob finally approaches Esau’s face, keeping the face of God on his mind, and they reconcile with joyful tears. Having buried the hatchet, Jacob can now follow the Lord’s call to pitch his tent in Canaan.

When face to face with the revelation of God, the only right response is devotion, commitment, and sacrifice expressed through the local church.
