The Oak Hill Union Local School District has released a comprehensive plan regarding their 2020 school reopening plans. The plan is entitled “Every Student, Every Day,” which is also the theme for the school year and is designed to show a strong commitment to the student body. Superintendent Dr. Marci Shepard joins the Telegram News team to talk about how schools have been planning their return to in person classes.

The  Dakota’s Roadhouse in Jackson, located at 451 McCarty Lane, has closed temporarily after it learned that one of its employees had recently tested positive for COVID-19 (the coronavirus). The Telegram News team sat down with Dakota's co-owner and director of operations, Taylor Springer and Jackson County Health Commissioner, Kevin Aston to talk about what this means for Dakota's and other local businesses going forward as we continue to navigate the ongoing pandemic. 

4th of July festivities are going to look a little different this year in Jackson County due to restrictions to help fight COVID-19, however that doesn't mean that the county won't still be celebrating our country's Independence Day.
