The spiritual path is in one sense very rational and scientific. We encourage

everyone to meditate and improve their health with a natural lifestyle, and there is

an ever growing mountain of scientific papers and mainstream media programs

supporting the value of these techniques in reducing stress. At the same time,

often hidden from the public view, there is tremendous fierceness, magic, and

mystery on the spiritual path. I would like to point out the power of these mysteries

by comparing them to the work of American historian Joseph Campbell.

Campbell (1904–1987) studied myths, religions, and narratives from around the

world. His famous advice, “follow your bliss,” came from the phrase satcitananda

in the ancient Upanishads, meaning “being, consciousness, bliss.” Campbell said

he wasn't sure about being and consciousness, but he could understand bliss! He

taught many years at Sarah Lawrence College, at that time an all-women's

institution. He always told his graduating students, “Whatever you do, don't do

what Daddy says, because he is only interested in your security. If you bargain

away your life for security now, you will never find your bliss.”

* Dada Maheshvarananda is a monk, activist and writer. His latest book is After Capitalism: Economic Democracy in Action.   He is the director of the Prout Research Institute of Venezuela. http://www.amazon.com/After-Capitalism-Economic-Democracy-Action/dp/1881717143

Jesse interviews Towanda M. Allen - who has spent 20+ years loving and caring for children. Towanda is dedicated to reminding Mothers and Daughters of their true essence, how to love and care for themselves regardless of life circumstances. Her motto is: "Stay prayerful, BE positive and keep moving!!"  Towanda is the author of "I Am A Leader For A Great Tomorrow:   An Inspirational Journal for the Next Generation" and is launching in September 2015 in NYC and California the International Holistic Leadership Workshop for Mothers & Daughters.  Towanda's work with "I am a Leader for a Great Tomorrow" has provided a journal for pre-teens and teens to walk through the journey of personal growth through inspiration, motivation, and personal commentary by the Author.  This journal is unique in that it asks specific questions related to motivational subjects (such as integrity) and the reader then journals how they used that in their day.  We will look at these various aspects of Towanda's work.  You can learn more about her work at:  http://towanda-m-allen.branded.me/ and at https://braveholisticworkshops.wordpress.com/

Jesse interviews Judith Diana Winston – a visionary photo-artist, writer, life mentor.  She has worked in the film industry as an actress, script supervisor, and as a fashion photographer.  Diana authored “Meditative Magic – The Pleiadean Glyphs”, and also “The Keeper of the Diary”.  She combines her spiritual quest with her abilities as an artist and communicator; focused on understanding mankind’s origin and destiny; which led to almost ten years visiting, photographing and learning about many of the earth’s ancient megalithic sacred sites.  Diana's travels also drew her to research archeological texts, mythology, and channeled material related to these places.  She considers herself a Mystic and believes that the entire planet is going through a dimensional shift; with a purpose to change and elevate consciousness and to work toward healing.  Diana points out that as we vibrate at a higher frequency it forces us to face our deepest fears as well as offering opportunities to realize personal and collective dreams.  We look at her work with “The Pleiadean Glyphs”.  You can learn more about Diana’s work at:  www.thekeeperofthediarybook.com
