Welcome to the Maine Hike N Brew Crew Podcast, Season 2!!!

In this episode we talk about some of our adventures in the off-season, we try some Maine brew enhanced summer concoctions and close out with some fun facts about National Beer Day.

Sean Sullivan from the Maine Brewer's Guild joins us a Trinken Brewing Company in West Bath as we discuss the growing craft beer industry and what the Guild is doing to help breweries be successful. We also discuss some other trends in the industry and efforts to connect with beer from ancient times.

Owen & Matt don't let the summer weather stopping them from hiking but they do try to balance it with some ocean breezes at the La Verna Preserve in Bristol & some beer from Waterman's Beach Brewery in South Thomaston, both offering some breathtaking views. We also discuss some other recent adventures and continue our quest to nerd out over what makes a good craft beer and other beer trivia. 

Owen hits the road to New Hampshire and Matt stays local. Footbridge Brewery in Boothbay Harbor and Bateau Brewing are featured. And we discussed to what lengths would we go to make beer sustainable.

Ed Molleo discusses hiking the New England leg of the Appalachian Trail and then he sticks around to help deliver our "News in Brews." Owen wraps things up with some fun facts about the AT.

Matt visits Devil's Back on Orr's Island. We discuss what we like about Trinken Brewing in West Bath and Flight Deck in Brunswick as well the influence of German brewing in Maine's craft brewing scene.
