Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek was one of the biggest music stars to come out of Africa. His debut album, Prisoner of Conscience, (1988) immediately catapulted him to super star status with the hit single “Send Down the Rain”.
Born to an Ijesha father and a Benin woman in 1963, Majek predominantly grew up with his mother in Benin City. After a brief stint with the Ja*Stix Band, Majek went solo in 1988. His other albums include, I&I Experince, Spirit of Love, etc.
