A major flood warning is in place for the Lockyer Valley as a severe storm system moves through the area. 

Lockyer Valley Councillor and Deputy Chair of the Local Disaster Management Group, Michael Hagan, told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, "So we've had to enact some emergency warnings."

"The police did another door knocking in Grantham, and then we had to actually set off our flood warning system, which is a siren at Grantham."

"So we've had great help from all emergency services," Councillor Michael Hagan continued.
