Major James Capers, Jr. called in to AM Ocala Live on the morning of November 9, 2018 and spoke to us about his amazing military career. Major Capers is the first African-American Marine to receive a battlefield commission as a member of 3rd Force Recon, a new special forces unit designed specifically for the war in Vietnam. Major Capers story is the subject of a book titled "Faith Through The Storm" and of a documentary titled "Major Capers: The Legend of Team Broadminded."
