It’s been almost 20 years since Nkosana Makate began his legal fight with Vodacom over the “Please Call Me” invention and the battle continues. In a scathing judgement, the Constitutional Court overturned a February SCA ruling that had awarded Makate billions, citing errors in law and judgment. The matter now goes back to the SCA for reconsideration by a new panel.
