Over the weekend, Firefighter Rick McMichael of Ohio came to grips with his addiction to alcohol and decided to seek help. His wife, Amanda, who is an EMT is 100% behind Rick’s decision to get help. Having eight children ranging from 4-15, the McMichaels needed help with the kids while Rick admits himself into rehab. The Oliver family in Alabama, who have seven children of their own, stepped up to help. What started as an idea to make Rick a quilt to show him that people loved & cared about him during his recovery journey has turned into a significant fundraiser for their children while they are with the Oliver family.
