  • Searching for Answers: Sandra Miller's Desmoid Tumor Journey
For four years, Sandra Miller searched for answers as numbness and tingling in her leg became pain that made walking, driving, and sleeping difficult. Initially told her symptoms were related to stress, she continued speaking up until testing revealed a rare desmoid tumor.
Tonight, Sandra joins me alongside UCLA oncologist and sarcoma specialist Dr. Noah Federman to discuss her experience, the importance of specialized care, & how patients can better understand their treatment options.
If you or someone you love is still searching for answers, I hope this conversation encourages you to keep asking questions and advocating for your health.

  • Make A Difference Minute: A Second Chance at Life Through Organ Donation
On tomorrow’s Make a Difference Minute, Bradley Barrontine of Huntsville, Alabama, shares how a life-saving liver transplant gave him a second chance at life.
After 18 years in the National Guard, deployments, regular physical examinations, and an active lifestyle, Brad never imagined he would be diagnosed with a rare genetic liver disorder at age 53.
Within months of learning he needed a new liver, Brad was placed on the transplant waiting list at UAB. That November, he received the call that would change his life.
I met Brad at The Butcher - Meat Co. The Butcher's Smoke and Flames Barbeque Cookoff, where he was helping raise awareness about organ donation through Legacy of Hope & Donate Life America.
Tomorrow, Brad is sharing his experience and encouraging others to consider becoming organ donors. His story is a powerful reminder that someone’s decision to give can mean another person’s opportunity to live.

  • Make A Difference Minute: Making Christmas Brighter for Foster Children
On this Make a Difference Minute, Limestone County Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin shares how the Sheriff’s annual Drive for Kids golf tournament helps provide Christmas gifts for children in foster care.
While many sponsors and donors may never see the children receiving their gifts because of privacy considerations, Sheriff McLaughlin wants every supporter to understand the difference their generosity makes.
With more children needing help than available funding can sometimes cover, every contribution matters. Sheriff McLaughlin explains that every penny raised goes toward purchasing gifts and helping children experience the joy of Christmas.
Whether you live in Limestone County or elsewhere, you can help make Christmas brighter for a child in foster care.

  • Handing Over the Keys: Choosing a Safe, Affordable Car for Your Teen
In the promo picture, I'm pictured with my granddad at age 16 with my first car, a Dodge Spirit. I remember what it meant to have those keys. My first time to drive was to the Lauderdale County High School football field to practice my kicking. Now, as a dad, I can appreciate that milestone from a parent’s perspective, too.
Tonight, I’m welcoming Sean Tucker, managing editor at Kelley Blue Book, for “Handing Over the Keys: Choosing a Safe, Affordable Car for Your Teen.”
We’ll discuss safety features families should prioritize, buying new versus used, and Kelley Blue Book’s 2026 recommendations, including options under $10,000. It’s a practical conversation for families preparing for a young driver’s first car.
