IN THIS MESSAGE, WE AS NATURAL MEN AMERICANS WILL FURTHER OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE SPIRITUAL WAR FOR OUR SOUL THAT WE ARE IGNORANTLY BORN INTO THIS WORLD IN, AND MUST BECOME KEENLY AWARE OF, THAT WE MIGHT BECOME FERVENTLY ENGAGED IN THE SAVING OF OUR OWN SOUL, FOR IF WE ARE NOT BENT ON THE PROCURING THE SALVATION OF OUR OWN SOUL, WILL WE BE ENGAGED EVEN MORE SO IN THE SALVATION OF OUR CHILDREN’S SOUL THAN WE ARE THEIR TEMPORAL NEEDS. COMMON SENSE TELLS US THAT DEATH IS A JUDGMENT OF GOD UPON OUR SOULS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE BORN INTO THIS WORLD WITH NO FEAR OF DEATH AS A JUDGMENT OF GOD LEADING TO THE INEVITABLE CONSEQUENCE OF A 2ND DEATH. JESUS WARNS THAT WE AS NATURAL MAN AMERICANS MUST STRIVE TO OVERCOME NOT TO BE HURT BY THIS 2ND DEATH. JESUS SAYS TO US AMERICANS: “ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. WE WILL ALSO WILL LEARN THAT NATIONS WILL BE JUDGED FOR THEIR SINS AND THAT WE AS AMERICANS NEED TO BECOME AWARE OF OUR AMERICAN SINS THAT WE AS A NATION MIGHT REPENT JUST AS ABRAHAM LINCOLN SET A DAY ASIDE FOR AMERICANS OF HIS DAY TO REPENT. HERE IS AN EXCERPT FOR ABRAHAM LINCOLN’S PROCLAMATION FOR A DAY OF HUMILIATION, FASTING, AND PRAYER. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR WE AS AMERICANS TO ASK THE QUESTION TO OURSELVES, HOW IN A WORLD OF DARKNESS, DID WE AS AMERICANS BECOME THE BEACON OF LIGHT TO THE WORLD AND DOES IT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ACKNOWLEDGING THE TRUE JESUS AS KING OF KINGS OF THE NATIONS.

RELIGIOUS AFFECTIONS WAS WRITTEN IN 1746 BY JONATHON EDWARS WHO WAS THE PASTOR GOD USED TO BE THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PASTOR IN IGNITING THE GREAT RELIGIOUS AWAKENING, WHICH GREATLY INFLUENCED OUR ALMOST MIRACULOUS CONSTITUTION. I. That religious affections are very great, or raised very high, is no sign

II. That they have great effects on the body, is no sign

III. That they cause those who have them to be fluent, fervent, and abundant, in talking of the things of religion, is no sign

IV. That persons did not excite them of their own contrivance and by their own strength, is no sign

V. That they come with texts of Scripture, remarkably brought to the mind, is no sign

VI. That there is an appearance of love in them, is no sign

VII. Persons having religious affections of many kinds, accompanying one another, is no sign

VIII. That comforts and joys seem to follow awakenings and convictions of conscience, in a certain order, is no sign

IX. That they dispose persons to spend much time in religion, and to be zealously engaged in the external duties of worship, is no sign

X. That they much dispose persons with their mouths to praise and glorify God, is no sign

XI. That they make persons that have them exceeding confident that what they experience is divine, and that they are in a good estate, is no sign

XII. That the outward manifestations of them, and the relation persons give of them, are very affecting and pleasing to the godly, is no sign. ART III. SHOWING WHAT ARE DISTINGUISHING SIGNS OF TRULY GRACIOUS AND HOLY AFFECTIONS.

I. Truly gracious affections arise from divine influences and operations on the heart

HOW MANY OF US NATURAL MAN AMERICANS ARE, AS CONCERNED, OR MORE CONCERNED, ABOUT THE ETERNAL NEEDS OF OUR SOUL, THAN WE ARE ABOUT THE TEMPORAL NEEDS OF OUR BODY: LIKEWISE AS CONCERNED OR MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE ETERNAL NEEDS OF OUR CHILDREN AS WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR TEMPORAL NEEDS. WHEN WE DIE WHAT DIES? DOES OUR SPIRIT DIE OR IS OUR BODY ONLY DIE?IF OUR SPIRIT IS ETERNAL, AND OUR BODY IS TEMPORAL, WE WOULD THINK THAT IT WOULD BE PERFECTLY CLEAR THAT IT IS OUR SOUL THAT WE SHOULD BE THE MOST CONCERNED ABOUT, BUT WE AREN’T ARE WE. THE TITLE OF THIS MESSAGE IS WHAT: LET US A NATURAL MAN AMERICANS BE DETERMINED TO OVERCOME TO SAVE OUR SOULS!!! IN THIS MESSAGE WE ATTEMPT TO LAY OUT HOW IMPORTANT A HIGHLY ACCURATE DOCTRINAL STATEMENT OF SALVATION IS IN DETERMINING WHAT PATH WE SHOULD BE ON TO SAVE OUR SOULS. WE FIRST LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE DOCTRINE OF THE FREEDOM OF THE WILL AS OPPOSED TO THE DOCTRINE OF BONDAGE OF THE WILL. SECONDLY WE LOOK AT ONE OF THE MOST ACCURATE PORTRAYALS OF SALVATION EVER WRITTEN WHICH COMES OUT THE BOOK ENTITLED PILGRIMS PROGRESS. FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE INTERESTED IN SAVING OUR SOULS THIS MESSAGE IS WORTH LISTENING TO MANY TIMES OVER UNTIL IT SINKS DEEP INTO OUR BRAINS.

WHEN WE A NATURAL MEN AMERICANS DO NOT RECOGNIZE THAT THE FOUNTAIN OF ALL EVIL IN THIS WORLD FLOWS IS RIGHT OUT OF OUR OWN HEART AND IS SIN BEFORE WE EVER COMMIT AN ACT OF SIN, WE ARE SETTING OURSELVES UP TO BE AN ALMOST CHRISTIAN, A HYPOCRITE, IN OUR SALVATION, WHICH JONATHON EDWARDS IN OTHER WORDS PORTRAYS IN THIS EXCERPT. “If we do but consider what the hearts of natural men are, what principles they are under the dominion of, what blindness and deceit, what self-flattery, self-exaltation, and self-confidence reign there, we need not at all wonder that their high opinion of themselves, and confidence of their happy circumstances, be as high and strong as mountains, and as violent as a tempest, when once conscience is blinded, and convictions killed, with false high affections, and those forementioned principles let loose, fed up and prompted by false joys and comforts, excited by some pleasing imaginations, impressed by Satan, transforming himself into an angel of light.

When once a hypocrite is thus established in a false hope, he has not those things to cause him to call his hope in question, that oftentimes are the occasion of the doubting of true saints; as, first, he has not that cautious spirit, that great sense of the vast importance of a sure foundation, and that dread of being deceived. The comforts of the true saints increase awakening and caution, and a lively sense how great a thing it is to appear before an infinitely holy, just and omniscient Judge. But false comforts put an end to these things and dreadfully stupify the mind. Secondly, The HYPOCRITE has not the knowledge of his own blindness, and the DECEITFULNESS of his OWN HEART, and that mean opinion of his own understanding that the true saint has. Those that are deluded with false discoveries and affections, are evermore HIGHLY CONCEITED of their light and understanding. Thirdly, The devil does not assault the hope of the hypocrite, as he does the hope of a true saint. The devil is a great enemy to a true Christian hope, not only because it tends greatly to the comfort of him that hath it, but also because it is a thing of a holy, heavenly nature, greatly tending to promote and cherish grace in the heart, and a great incentive to strictness and diligence in the Christian life. But he is no enemy to the hope of a hypocrite, which above all things establishes his interest in him that has it. A hypocrite may retain his hope without opposition, as long as he lives, the devil never disturbing it, nor attempting to disturb it. But there is perhaps no true Christian but what has his hope assaulted by him. Satan assaulted Christ himself upon this, whether he were the Son of God or no: and the servant is not above his Master, nor the disciple above his Lord; it is enough for the disciple, that is most privileged in this world, to be as his Master. Fourthly, He who has a false hope, has not that sight of his OWN CORRUPTIONS, which the saint has. A true Christian has 10 TIMES so much to do with his heart and its CORRUPTIONS, as a hypocrite: and the SINS of his HEART and practice, appear to him in their BLACKNESS; they LOOK DREADFUL; and it often appears a very mysterious thing, that any grace can be consistent with SUCH CORRUPTION, or should be in such a heart. BUT a FALSE HOPE HIDES CORRUPTION, covers it all over, and the HYPOCRITE LOOKS CLEAN and bright in his OWN EYES.

There are two sorts of hypocrites:

WE AS JOHN Q. PUBLIC OF AMERICA ALL NEED AN UNCHAINABLE SOLID HOPE IN THIS WORLD THAT WE CAN NOT ONLY HANG OUR HAT ON BUT THAT CAN BE AN EVERLASTING VISION THAT WE CAN KEEP SEEKING AFTER, AMIDST OUR DUTIES HERE ON EARTH, AND IS NOT GOING TO BE LIKE A WITHERING GRASS OR A FADING FLOWER AND WHAT MIGHT THAT BE: ISAIAH 40: [6] The voice said, CRY, And he said, What shall I cry? All FLESH is GRASS, and ALL the GOODLINESS thereof is as the FLOWER of the field:

[7] The GRASS WITHERETH, the FLOWER FADETH: BECAUSE the SPIRIT of the LORD BLOWETH upon it: SURELY the PEOPLE is GRASS.

[8] The GRASS WITHERETH, the FLOWER FADETH: BUT the WORD of OUR GOD shall STAND FOREVER. UNLIKE THE FASTFOOD FREEWILL DOCTRINE, THE BONDAGE OF THE WILL DOCTRINE REQUIRES THAT WE BE OVERCOMERS AND YET OUR OVERCOMING IS PARADOXICALLY PREDESTINED. LET US LOOK AT SOME OF THESE PROMISES THAT WILL BE FULFILLED IN OUR LIFE IF WE OVERCOME. JESUS SPEAKING: REV. 3: [19] As MANY as I(JESUS) LOVE, I REBUKE and CHASTEN: “BE ZEALOUS” therefore, and “REPENT”.

[20] BEHOLD, I STAND at the DOOR, and KNOCK: “IF” any man “HEAR” my VOICE, and open the door, I(JESUS) “WILL COME” IN TO him, and WILL SUP with him, and he with me.

[21] To HIM that OVERCOMETH (HERE IS THE PROMISE) will I GRANT to SIT with ME in MY THRONE, even as I(JESUS) also OVERCAME, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

[22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. HOW ABOUT THAT FOR A FUTURE PROMISE. THERE IS NO U HAUL TRAILER BEHIND THE HEARST WE WILL BE IN, BUT “THE WORD OF GOD”(JESUS) HIS WORD WILL STAND FOREVER. SOUNDS LIKE OVERCOMING WILL BE WORTH IT. WHAT SAY YOU?

JUST PRECEDING OUR AMERICAN REVOLUTION WHEN OUR FOUNDING FATHERS LIKE GEORGE WASHINGTON, JOHN ADAMS, THOMAS JEFFERSON, AND JAMES MADISON WERE LESS THAN 10 YEARS OLD, THERE WAS A GREAT RELIGIOUS AWAKENING, FOR THE MOST PART IGNITED IN JONATHON EDWARD’S CHURCH IN NORTH HAMPTON, MASSACHUSETTS. ALSO GEORGE WHITEFIELD A YOUNG EVANGELIST FROM ENGLAND CONTRIBUTED GREATLY TO THIS GREAT RELIGIOUS AWAKENING, PREACHING OVER 18,000 SERMONS, MOSTLY IN THE FIELDS FROM 1740-1770. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, WHO WAS NOT A CHRISTIAN BUT A GOOD FRIEND OF GEORGE WHITEFIELD, FOR HE PRINTED HIS SERMONS SAID THIS ABOUT HIM: In 1739 arrived among us from Ireland the Reverend Mr. Whitefield,1 who had made himself remarkable there as an itinerant preacher. He was at first permitted to preach in some of our churches; but the clergy, taking a dislike to him, soon refus’d him their pulpits, and he was oblig’d to preach in the fields. The multitudes of all sects and denominations that attended his sermons were enormous, and it was matter of speculation to me, who was one of the number, to observe the extraordinary influence of his oratory on his hearers, and how much they admir’d and respected him, notwithstanding his common abuse of them, by assuring them they were naturally HALF BEASTS(BECAUSE OF THE EVIL PROCLIVITIES OF THEIR HEART) and half devils(BECAUSE THEY WERE BORN INTO THIS WORLD WITH SATAN AS THEIR SPIRITUAL FATHER). It was wonderful to see the change soon made in the manners of our inhabitants. From being thoughtless or indifferent about religion, it seem’d as if all the world were growing religious, so that one could not walk thro’ the town in an evening without hearing psalms sung in different families of every street. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN ALSO WRITES ABOUT HOW LARGE A CROWD GEORGE WHITEFIELD COULD DRAW: “He had a loud and clear Voice, and articulated his Words and Sentences so perfectly that he might be heard and understood at a great Distance, especially as his Auditors [audience], however numerous, observ’d the most exact Silence.

He preach’d one Evening from the Top of the Court House Steps, which are in the middle of Market Street, and on the West Side of Second Street which crosses it at right angles.

Both Streets were fill’d with his Hearers to a considerable Distance.

Being among the hindmost in Market Street, I had the Curiosity to learn how far he could be heard, by retiring backwards down the Street towards the River; and I found his Voice distinct till I came near Front Street, when some Noise in that Street, obscur’d it. Imagining then a Semicircle, of which my Distance should be the Radius, and that it were fill’d with Auditors, to each of whom I allow’d two square feet, I computed that he might well be heard by more than 30,000. This reconcil’d me to the Newspaper Accounts of his having preach’d to 25,000 People in the Fields, and to the ancient Histories of Generals haranguing whole Armies, of which I had sometimes doubted.” BY 1746 JONATHON EDWARDS BECAME KEENLY AWARE THAT SATAN HAD SOWED MANY TARES AMONGST THE WHEAT, THAT IS ALMOST CHRISTIANS AMONGST THE TRUE CHRISTIAN TO DELUDE THE GREAT AWAKENING, AND THUS JONATHON EDWARDS WROTE A TREATISE ENTITLED RELIGIOUS AFFECTIONS TO HELP THE COLONISTS TO DETERMINE IF THEY WERE AN ALMOST CHRISTIAN OR A TRUE CHRISTIAN: WE ARE IN PART 5 IN THIS LENGTHY TREATISE WHICH DISTINGUISHES THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ALMOST CHRISTIAN AND THE TRUE CHRISTIAN WHICH IS AN ABSOLUTE NECESSARY READ FOR BOTH OF US AS NATURAL MAN AMERICANS, ALMOST CHRISTIAN AMERICANS, AND TRUE CHRISTIAN AMERICANS TO HELP US TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT WE AS AMERICANS ARE RUGHT WITH GOD. THIS TREATISE DEMONSTRATES SCRIPTURALLY, THE MYRIAD OF WAYS WE CAN BE DECEIVED INTO BEING A TRUE CHRISTIAN WHEN IN REALITY WE ARE ONLY AN ALMOST CHRISTIAN. SINCE WE AS JOHN Q. PUBLIC OF AMERICA ARE A SIMPLE PEOPLE, WE ASK SIMPLE QUESTIONS WHICH THE ELITE OF THIS COUNTRY HAVE A HARD TIME ANSWERING. ARE THERE ANY OF US AMERICANS GOING TO ESCAPE DEATH: WE ALL KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION. THEREFORE THERE MUST BE AN UNDERLYING UNIFORM CAUSE THAT IS CAUSING US TO DIE, AND OLD AGE, OR CANCER, OR MIRDER ETC. MUST BE SUBSIDIARY CAUSE, BUT NOT THE TRUE CAUSE: FOR EXAMPLE, JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD COVID DID NOT MEAN COVID CAUSED THEIR DEATH, FOR THEY MAY HAVE HAD A HEART ATTACK. So WHAT IS THE TRUE CAUSE OF OUR DEATH? WE SPEND BILLIONS OF FEDERAL DOLLARS TRYING TO CURE CANCER, WHY NOT USE THAT MONEY TO CURE DEATH, FOR EVEN IF WE FOUND A CURE TO CANCER, IT WOULD ONLY BE A TEMPORARY CURE, FOR WE STILL EVENTUALLY WILL DIE. IN THIS MESSAGE, WE WILL LOOK INTO THE REAL CAUSE OF OUR DEATH, AND THE ANTIDOTE TO DEATH, THAT IS, HOW TO ESCAPE ETERNAL DEATH. KNOWING THE CAUSE OF OUR DEATH WILL HELP US TO DISCOVER HOW TO OBTAIN ETERNAL LIFE. IN OUR SEARCH FOR THE ANTIDOTE FOR OUR DEATH, WE WILL LOOK INTO WHAT CAUSED JESUS’ FATHER AND THE HOLY SPIRIT TO FORAKE JESUS ON THE CROSS. KING DAVID COMMITTED ADULTERY WITH BATHSHEBA AND BATHSHEBA CONCEIVED, BUT THE BABY DIED IN INFANCY, WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE BABY’S DEATH: WE AS NATURAL MAN AMERICANS MIGHT BE SURPRISED AT THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION. WHEN SOMEONE COMMITS SUICIDE, IS THIS JUST THE SUBSIDIARY CAUSE, OR THE ACTUAL CAUSE OF DEATH: THESE AND MANY OTHER QUESTIONS WE MAY NOT HAVE THOUGHT OF WILL BE ANSWERED IN THIS MESSAGE.

PUBLIC OF AMERICA DO NOT EVEN KNOW THAT WE ARE CONCEIVED INTO THIS WORLD IN CAPTIVITY TO SATAN WHO IS OUR SPIRITUAL FATHER WHO IS CALLED THE STRONG MAN ARMED, AND WE MUST BE RESCUED BY JESUS THE STRONGER, WHO MUST BIND SATAN IN ORDER TO RELEASE HIS ELECT AND THEN HIS ELECT MUST BE ADOPTED BY OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN: SATAN DOES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO KEEP US FROM KNOWING THAT WE ARE BORN INTO THIS WORLD IN CAPTIVITY TO HIM, ESPECIALLY TO KEEP US FROM KNOWING OUR SOUL IS BOUND IN SALVATION: THUS HE ATTEMPTS TO SILENCE THOSE WHO PREACH THAT OUR WILL IS BOUND IN SALVATION AND THAT WE DO NOT HAVE A FREEWILL TO ACCEPT OR REJECT JESUS, AND WHY DOES HE WANT US NOT TO KNOW THAT BUT BECAUSE HE IS THE KING OF THE FASTFOOD FREEWILL DOCTRINE. SATAN AND HIS MINISTERS OFFER US A FASTFOOD FREEWILL JESUS AS A COUNTERFEIT JESUS IN THIS SPIRITUAL WAR TO THWART OUR EFFORTS TO MAKE A PILGRIMAGE TO STRAIT IS THE GATE AND TO WAIT ON JESUS TO CHOOSE US WITH NONE OF OUR FINGERPRINTS ON HIS CHOOSING US. WE MUST WAIT ON JESUS TO FIND US WE DO NOT FIND HIM. AT THE TIME PRECEDING THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION THERE WAS A GREAT BONDAGE OF THE WILL AWAKENING THAT WAS IGNITED IN JONATHON EDWARDS CHURCH IN 1734 AND WAS FURTHERED BY GEORGE WHITEFIED, AMREICA’S GREATEST EVANGELIST, WHO PREACHED OVER PREACHED OVER 18,000 SERMONS, MOSTLY IN THE FIELDS, FROM 1740 TO 1770.
