TODAY IS JULY 12 AND THUS LET US TURN TO PROVERBS 12
TODAY IS JULY 9th AND THUS LET US TURN TO PROVERBS 9.
Pr. 9: [17] Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
[18] But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
This message is entitled: The Continued Reading of Pilgrim's Progress, Part 1, which includes. Section 1, entitled Cristian's Deplorable Condition, and Section 2 entitled Evangelist Directs Christian. The book, Pilgrim's Progress is an allegory on Salvation, written by John Bunyan, who was a Bondage of the Will preacher, in prison in England for preaching the gospel, and while he was in prison, he wrote Pilgrim's Progress, published in 1678, and still in print today, has been one of the most read Christian books in the world. Pilgrim's Progress is an allegory on salvation, and is the most accurate portrayal of salvation in an allegorical format ever written. This book is worth reading over and over again, for what does Satan do, but he counterfeits salvation. If we think of the Bible as a wagon wheel with 66 spokes representing the 66 books of the Bible, and the hub of the will representing salvation, Satan counterfeits the hub of the wheel, and that is all he has to do to corrupt the 66 spokes, and that is how he destroys the true church. He never lets his foot off the accelerator, and thus the bondage of the will church must press its foot harder on the accelerator to continue to further define salvation more accurately in order to keep ahead of Satan's counterfeiting. John Bunyan in Pilgrim's Progress will put us way ahead of the curve in detecting how Satan counterfeits the scriptures, and thus every American should have a copy of Pilgm's Progress and read it over and over, not to replace our meditation on the Word of God, but to be a supplement. Pilgrim's progress is an allegory, and in this allegory, practically every paragraph, and sometimes every sentence, there is a hidden scripture that goes with it. And those of us that have read our Bibles day and night over years, every time we read Pilgrim's Progress, we will see the hidden meaning behind what John Bunyan is saying, because we will see the scriptures that he is referring to, for we know our scriptures. Thus in the following messages, a commentary will be given showing the Scriptures underlying the hidden meaning that we might understand the meaning of the allegorical sentences and paragraphs. Those of you that continue to listen throughout these several messages, you will be way ahead of the curve in detecting how Satan counterfeits so that you might avoid those false churches and ignorantly embrace their false doctrine. Those churches that have a false hub of the wheel, a false definition of salvation, a counterfeited salvation, what happens but the 66 spokes are tainted, that is the 66 books of the Bible are tainted, and thus without an accurate definition of salvation, we will be sucked into churches that have a false doctrine. And if we follow that false doctrine and end up in hell, what good did those churches do for us. they did us no good at all. So Satan is not stupid. He will always counterfeit salvation first and if he has accomplished that in a nation, if his false doctrine becomes dominant, he can pull his lever on the lazy boy, for the nation is going to go astray. ,
Like the moon being a reflection of the sun, so the morality of the nation is just a reflection of the doctrine of the church. Thus a dominant false doctrine will make America immoral.
If you are a brand new creation, you're going to just love this book because when he begins to describe in an allegorical format, conversion, it will match your own conversion you've been truly converted. And hardly anywhere else can you find such an accurate description of what it's like to become a new creation. It is just wonderful, and it will give you great confirmation of your own conversion. And you will quickly learn how to detect others who have been falsely converted, because John Bunion does a great job of showinging us what a false conversion looks like juxtaposed to a true conversion.

IN THIS MESSAGE WE WILL DELINEATE THE DIFFERENCE OF HOW THE BONDAGE OF THE WILL DOCTRINE ADDS VIRTUE TO ITS FAITH JUXTAPOSED TO HOW THE FASTFOOD FREEWILL DOCTRINE ADDS VIRTUE TO ITS FAITH.
ALSO IN THIS MESSAGE WE WILL INCORPORATE EXCERPTS OF PILGRIMS PROGRESS IN OUR DEFENSE. HERE IS AN EXCERPT FROM PILGRIM’S PROGRESS:
“Hope. Another thing that hath troubled me, even since my late amendments, is, that if I look narrowly into the best of what I do now, I still see sin, new sin, mixing itself with the best of that I do. So that now I am forced to conclude, that notwithstanding my former fond conceits of myself and duties, I have committed sin enough in one day to send me to hell, though my former life had been faultless.
Chr. And what did you do then?
Hope. Do! I could not tell what to do, till I brake my mind to FAITHFUL; for he and I were well acquainted: and he told me, "That unless I could obtain the righteousness of a Man that never had sinned, neither mine own nor all the righteousness of the world could save me."
Chr. And did you think he spake true?
Hope. Had he told me so when I was pleased and satisfied with mine own amendments, I had called him fool for his pains; but now, since I see my own infirmity, and the sin that cleaves to my best performance, I have been forced to be of his opinion.
Chr. But did you think, when at first he suggested it to you, that there was such a man to be found, of whom it might justly be said, that he never committed sin?
Hope. I must confess the words at first sounded strangely; but after a little more talk and company with him, I had full conviction about it.
Chr. And what did you do then?
Hope. I made my objections against my believing, for that I thought he was not willing to save me.
Chr. And what said FAITHFUL to you then?
Hope. He bade me go to him, and see. Then I said, "It was presumption;" but he said, "No; for I was invited to come".
Then I asked him, what must do when I came; and he told me, I must entreat upon my knees, with all my heart and soul, the Father to reveal him to me.
told him that I knew not what to say when I came; and he bid me say to this effect, "
“God be merciful to me a sinner, and make me to know and believe in Jesus Christ; for I see that if his righteousness had not been, or I have not faith in that righteousness, I am utterly cast away. Lord, I have heard that Thou art a merciful God, and hast ordained that Thy Son Jesus Christ should be the Saviour of the world: and moreover, that Thou art willing to bestow him upon such a poor sinner as I am (and I am a sinner indeed); Lord, take therefore this opportunity, and magnify Thy grace in the salvation of my soul, through Thy Son Jesus Christ. Amen."
Chr. And did you do as you were bidden?
Hope. Yes; over, and over, and over.
Chr. And did the Father reveal the Son to you?
Hope. No, not at first, nor second, nor third, nor fourth, nor fifth; no, nor at the sixth time either.
Chr. What did you then?
Hope. What? why I could not tell what to do.
Chr. Had you no thoughts of leaving off praying?
Hope. Yes, and a hundred times twice told.
Chr. And what was the reason you did not?
Hope. I believed that it was true which had been told me; to wit, that without the righteousness of this Christ, all the world could not save me.
and thus it was: one day I was very sad, I think sadder than at anyone time in my life, and this sadness was through a fresh sight of the greatness and vileness of my sins. And as I was then looking for nothing but hell, and the everlasting damnation of my soul,
suddenly,
as I thought, I saw the Lord Jesus looking down from heaven upon me, and saying, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…
Yea, I thought, that had I now a thousand gallons of blood in my body, I could spill it all for the sake of the Lord Jesus.
WHAT WAS THE VERSE OF PROMISE THAT ADAM AND EVE HUNG ON BY FAITH TO KNOW THAT THEY WERE SAVED?
2PETER 1: [4] Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
[5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
FISHERMAN PETER HAD KNOWLEDGE FROM JESUS THAT HE WOULD DIE SOON, BUT WHAT WAS ON HIS MIND BUT HIS FLOCK, WORRYING THAT THEY MIGHT FALL, THUS HE WRITES THIS EPISTLE TO GIVE THEM 7 THINGS, IF THEY WILL DILIGENTLY APPLY TO THEMSELVES, THAT THEY WILL NEVER FALL. IN THE LEAD UP TO THESE 7 THINGS HE SPEAKS TO THEM ABOUT THE EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES AVAILABLE TO THEM.
WE WILL BE WARNED
HOW FAITH CAN MADE VOID
AND THE PROMISE OF NONE EFFECT.
FISHERMAN PETER THOUGH BEING AN UNEDUCATED FISHERMAN PACKS A LOT OF DOCTRINE INTO THIS BRIEF LETTER.
PETER WAS A NEW CREATION & LIKE ALL NEW CREATIONS YOU CAN TELL HOW HE ATE, SLEPT & DRANK THE PROMISES OF GOD AND THAT IS WHY FISHERMAN PETER SAYS THE FOLLOWING:
2 PETER 1: [4] Whereby are
given unto us
exceeding great and precious promises:
WHY?
that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
[5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
BUT FORMER MR. MORALITY SAYS THIS:
ROM. 4: [13] For the promise,
that ABRAHAM should be the heir of the world,
was not to Abraham, or to his seed,
through the law,
but through the righteousness of faith.
[14] For if they which are of the law be heirs,
FAITH is made VOID , and the PROMISE made OF NONE EFFECT.
WE WILL TAKE A DEEP DIVE INTO VERSE 4 OF 2PETER.
WHAT REALLY IS TRUE REPENTANCE?
CAN IT BE DEFINED?
IS IT, A , I’M SO SORRY LORD?
IS REPENTANCE OVER AN ACT OF SIN, COUNTED AS REPENTANCE FOR SALVATION IF THAT SIN IS NOT FORSAKEN? WAS JUDAS’ REPENTANCE ACCEPTED AND IF NOT WHY NOT?
JUDAS REPENTS
Matt. 27: [3] Then Judas, which had betrayed him, WHEN he saw that he was CONDEMNED,
REPENTED HIMSELF,
and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
[4] Saying,
I have sinned
in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
[5] And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed,
and went
and HANGED HIMSELF.
WHY DIDN’T JESUS COUNT JUDAS’ REPENTANCE BUT JESUS TOLD PETER:
MATT. 18: [21] Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
[22] Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
WHY THEN WOULD JUDAS’ REPENTANCE NOT COUNT?
WE AS JOHN Q. PUBLIC JUST ASK SIMPLE QUESTIONS WHICH DON’T SEEM TO HAVE A SIMPLE ANSWER BUT IN REALITY DO.
LET US, THOSE OF US WHO HAVE A ? MARK FOR A BRAIN, LET US LISTEN TO THIS MESSAGE AND LET US SEE IF SOME OF THESE SIMPLE QUESTIONS CAN BE ANSWERED FOR MOST OF US AMERICANS WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE THAT REPENTANCE IS A PRETTY BIG DEAL IN SALVATION, WOULD WE NOT?
WE AS AMERICANS CAN LOOK BACK UPON OUR LIVES ON A SIN THAT WE REGRET HAVING COMMITTED AND NEVER WANT TO COMMIT AGAIN, FOR THE FALLOUT OF THAT SIN IS STILL PLAGUING US TO THIS PRESENT DAY.
IN PETER’S 2ND EPISTLE HE GIVES HIS DEPARTING WARNING TO HIS FLOCK BEFORE HE DIES, THAT IS, AS IS WRITTEN, HE IS ABOUT TO DEPART HIS TABERNACLE.
2 Peter 1: [14] Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
AND WHAT WOULD THAT WARNING BE?
2 Peter 1: [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[9] But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
[10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, YE SHALL NEVER FALL.
SO PETER, SAYS TO HIMSELF, WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT I COULD TELL MY FLOCK. WHAT IS THE GREATEST REGRET IN MY LIFE THAT I WISH I COULD HAVE KNOWN HOW TO AVOID?
MOST ALL OF US AMERICANS KNOW OF WHAT THAT REGRET WAS, BECAUSE WE AND MUCH OF THE WORLD ARE REMINDED OF IT ONCE A YEAR ON EASTER SUNDAY.
HOW MANY OF US AMERICANS WOULD WANT OUR MOST REGRETTABLE SIN TO BE REPEATED TO THE WORLD FOR OVER 2000 YEARS, AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR?
Matthew 26: [73] And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.
[74] Then began HE TO CURSE and to SWEAR, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
[75] And Peter REMEMBERED the WORD of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and WEPT BITTERLY
WILL PETER EVER FORGET THAT MOMENT?
WE AS AMERICANS CAN RELATE TO THAT, CAN WE NOT?
AND HOPEFULLY WE DON’T WANT OUR CHILDREN TO FALL INTO THE SAME REGRETTABLE SIN WE DID AND THUS WE WARN THEM TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO CARELESSLY FALL INTO THAT SIN BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT A REPENTANT HEART, BUT A HARD HEART.
AND SO WHAT DOES PETER DO BUT TO WARN HIS DISCIPLES HOW NOT TO FALL.
IN THIS MESSAGE WE WILL, AMONGST MANY OTHER THINGS, LOOK INTO MOSES’ REGRETTABLE SIN, AND WHAT THE ROOT SIN, THAT WAS BEHIND HIS ACT OF SIN, WHICH WAS THE SAME ROOT SIN WHICH WAS BEHIND PETER’S ACT OF SIN.
