On this week's episode Tony and Jacob are examining the absurdities associated with essential workers. Their work is essential yet, many don't get paid a livable wage, had to go on strike to get proper PPE, and don't have paid sick leave.  Bernie dropped out of the race, so you know we had to talk about that. The coronavirus has highlighted several fractures in our society, one of them being education. Tony and Jacob are joined by Breanna Harvey to re-imagine what schools can and should be. Breanna (she/her/hers/Breyoncé), manages recruitment and selection for alumni roles at 4.0 Schools. Breanna is an amazing leader in education who has a deep passion and commitment to creating true partnerships with the community as we go through this iterative process of re-imaging school. There are several gems in this conversation, but if you learn anything, we hope you take note of the importance of building with the community not for the community. We hear from a couple youth about what they want school to be. After that, Jacob and Tony talk a little bit about the stimulus package, trying to find the billionaires that this country loves so much, and discuss the sexual assault allegations against Creepy Joe Biden. Feels like ages ago, when Joe Biden said if a woman comes forth with a sexual assault allegation we should believe her. #lifeisfluid

Small Business Covid-19 Relief 

Jacob and Tony bring you this week's episode from the safety of their homes, which are inside, which is where should be, if you can be. The coronavirus is taking the world by storm and it's clear America wasn't ready. Remember when people would be presenting their group projects, and it was obvious they were freestyling??? That's what Donald Trump and the gang look like trying figure this out.  Tony and Jacob try to make sense of how something like this could have such a negative impact on the richest country in the world, or as Norway would say, a country with poorly developed health services and infrastructure. Ouch. We also briefly discuss the buffoonery that is going on in the Democratic Primary. Can yall believe that had people outside voting in the middle of a pandemic!? Smh About time we moved on to another party. They aint it. 

UPDATE** At time of recording there were 2800 cases of COVID-19 in America. On March 18 at 9:01PM PST the total is now at 8,865, Stay inside yall.

Tony and Jacob speak on their travels to Venezuela and Cuba. Both of these trips gave us a glimpse into an alternative means of  how to structure a society. While things aren’t perfect in either of those countries, there is a lot we can learn from. Hell, things are far from perfect in the United States. During the freestyle, we discuss the comedy of errors that is the DNC, our two cents on the discussion about Kobe’s legacy, and a few other current events.
