Make It Modern

This week the girls take a sharp left turn from their normal content (what is normal content anymore?) to discuss the history of K-pop and the industry surrounding it.

Kelsey and very special guest PAPA DREW break down the history of Drew's favorite sport, Tennis. They talk how a tennis ball might have been one of the three things given to Baby Jesus (not a joke), as well as the sexism, racism and all of the other isms within the game.

Ashley and Kelsey have finally found a Disney film that Ashley doesn't like! The girls bicker over Tim Burton's adaptation, and reveal that author Lewis Carroll was actually a terrifying human being.

In Kelsey's surprise episode, she takes an unexpected left turn away from conspiracy theories and breaks down the history of Pyramid Schemes and MLMs. Ashley, as a reformed Lula Roe lover, talks about her experience shopping with the brand, as well as the Vice News video everyone should see.

In Ashley's surprise episode, she brings the history of makeup to the table. The girls then discuss the fact that the 'beauty influencer' as we know them today, actually started a longgggg time ago.

Ashley and Kelsey are joined by Mental Health Blogger, Hana, from @thishanabee. The discussion gets a little deeper than normal as the girls discuss the way Mental Health is portrayed in film... pitting Perks of Being a Wallflower against Charlie Bartlett.

The girls discuss the iconic Princess Diaries duo, how powerful Julie Andrews is, and also the modern royal fambam.

Ashley and Kelsey break down the weird and eccentric life of Harry Houdini... his petty feud with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and how they'd react to being buried alive. It's a fun ride, this one.

The girls talk Pajama Sam until it finally time to talk about the romantic awakening Milo and Kida from Disney's Atlantis. Oh yeah, and they talk about conspiracy theories and colonialism too.

Of course this is episode 69. The girls go through the surprisingly fascinating history of Boy Bands, from the Beatles (not a boy band) to the Jonas Brothers (they're a brother band) to the somewhat sordid history behind N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys. It's a wild ride, so strap in!
