  • #5 Reverse Mentoring mit Anastasia Barner

Was ist eigentlich Mentoring?

    • Was bekommt man eigentlich vom Mentoring als Mentor?

  • #4 Mentoring for Entrepreneurship with Judit Klein from Zollhof

In this episode I talk to Judit Klein from Zollhof. ZOLLHOF - The Tech Incubator in Nuremberg describe themselves as a family of entrepreneurs, corporate, and digital innovators in Germany. The public-private entrepreneurial center enables founders and startups from one of the biggest cities in Bavaria by providing tailored in-house services, connecting them to influential groups, and - mentors.

My guest, Judit, the Startup Incubation Lead at Zollhof, is the head of the startup incubation program and has been responsible for all startup activities in the center since 2018 - including the Zollhof mentoring program. In our conversation she walks us step-by-step through the program development journey so far and shares critical insights in the process that can save you time and bring your efforts to the next level.

Before joining Zollhof, Judit was a Research Associate at the Entrepreneurship Research Institute of the Technical University Munich, teaching entrepreneurship courses for Bachelor, Masters and PhD students and pursuing her PhD on the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility in family firms at the institute, today known as impact. I am curious how her ongoing interest in common welfare has translated into Zollhof's mentoring program.

  • #3 Mentoring for Innovation with Zsanett Andresin

In this episode we discuss the application of mentoring in the field of corporate innovation. Our guest, Zsanett Andresin, has been a mentee, a mentor, and has organized a mentoring program for the Startup Program of OTP Group.

Mentoring is a well-known concept in Human Resources, mostly used for talent development and employee engagement, but it has only recently found its way into the world of innovation. My guest Zsanett is one of its early adopters for startup acceleration, especially in her role at OTP Group’s innovation hub - the OTP Lab, which she describes as a matchmaker. To quote Zsanett: “The qualities of a good mentor are the qualities of a good matchmaker.”

OTP Group is one of the largest financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. It operates in 10 countries and provides financial services to more than 18 million private and corporate clients in thousands of branches all over the region, and of course digitally. The financial sector has been a subject of disruption and constant innovation in the past decade so Zsanett has a lot to tell.

At OTP Lab she has designed and established a corporate-startup cooperation program to connect startups and scaleups with the group and drive external innovation on levels. In the past 4 years she and her team have screened thousands of startups and supported more than 100 business units in finding and adopting innovation from outside. Mentoring has played a critical role in the process and we are going to discuss in detail how and why.

    Felix Josephi

  • 03 - Bullsh*t Monsters with Anaïs Bock
In today’s episode I’m speaking with Anaïs Bock, leadership coach, author of the Bullsh*t Monsters, entrepreneur and an extraordinary speaker, who opened the Purpose Conference at the Big & Growing Festival in 2019.
With her work, Anaïs has been driving the transformation of the workplace ever since 2011 when she left her full-time job to become a self-employed brand and image consultant. Ever since, she has been working with international customers from Egypt to New York, helping women entrepreneurs „use their presence to stand out and courageously earn money with whatever they wanted“. Anaïs has a Master of Science in organisational behaviour from Birkbeck University of London and a long track record in corporate customers who she helped identify a purpose for their business, create a healthy and diverse environment and what needs to shift to enable teams to increase the overlap between happiness and effectiveness. This helped her create the four-part purpose diagram and recently the Bullsh*t Monsters method.
For the Big & Growing audience, Anaïs explains how she transformed a major external crisis into more purpose, fun, and new business twice. Listen to the conversation to be the first to learn more about her book Bullsh*t Monsters, before it comes out in July, and also to hear what is making her confident that the Bullsh*t Monsters method is exactly what organisations need for a sustainable culture transformation.
