Creativity is not allowed. Originality is frowned upon. Thought is highly discouraged. Kindness is weakness. You are not an individual; you are a paycheck to the executive board of operations for a major conglomerate corporation. You are an algorithm, a marketing gimmick, a sales pitch waiting to happen. There is no hope for a better tomorrow because Hollywood sold our tomorrows to big corporations many yesterdays ago, in the 1940s to be exact. Very few people realize that Hollywood sold its studios to major conglomerate corporations after being bankrupted by television; this process has only continued with the addition of the internet and various streaming services. Your "progressive" climate change movies are made by big oil. Your "woke" feel good black history movies are made by known racists. Your "forward thinking" superhero flicks are brought to you by the Pentagon. Your "thought provoking" comic book movies are made by thoughtless businessmen. Your "romantic comedies" are brought to you by insurance salesmen. Your "feminist" movies are brought to you by the owners of strip clubs. Your stand up comedy icons are paid mouthpieces for those who despise the LGBTQIA community. Your "triumph in the face of adversity" sports movies were made by thieves. There is no escaping. Hollywood is dead, and we have killed it. We did not kill it with hatred, nor with "cancel culture", nor with McCarthyism, or anything like that; that is just the story you are supposed to believe. Hell, they will probably turn your favorite breakfast cereal into movies soon and then charge you for the rights every time you want to eat. I can see it now, the perfect script. Everyone loves Rice Krispies, right? So why not make a feel good rom com about Snap, Crackle and Pop finally finding true love? We could do sequels, lots of sequels. And why stop at cereal? How about a fast food franchise? We could make the true life story of Colonel Sanders! It could be one of those Christian movies poor people love so much. We could call it "The Passion of the Colonel"; the south would love it! And how about this whole unboxing craze? The kids love it! I know what we'll do; we'll find some jerkoff kids on tik tok who want to waste time opening their amazon purchases. Then we'll cut and paste their reactions together in post and boom, instant Oscars for everyone involved! Oh, "Mukbang, The Movie", some idiot in his pajamas shoving copious amounts of Nabisco products down their gullets; boy, will that make us a fortune! And screw the next Bond film. Let's call our next action movie "DIY: From the Dollar Tree With Love". Genius, all of it is genius! There is no art to be found in these movies, but there is plenty of money to be made and that is now what Hollywood is all about. Profits over people is Hollywood's new slogan. In case you have not yet noticed, even the Hollywood union is striking because Hollywood turned its back on their workers long, long ago. "Union members say they are forced to work excessive hours and are not given reasonable rest via meal breaks and sufficient time off between shifts. Leaders say the lowest paid crafts get unlivable wages. And streamers like Netflix, Apple and Amazon are allowed to pay even less under previous agreements that allowed them more flexibility when they were up-and-comers. (AP News)" You see that? They walk all over the people behind the scenes and streaming services are even worse. But Hollywood never takes responsibility; they will always blame the victims, no matter what. They are too busy trying to sell you stuff to care...even about their own employees.
