Scott O’Shaughnessy is a retired Naval officer. Scott started off as a basic enlisted guy in boot camp and got selected for Chief, of which only 10% of all sailors who enlist actually make it to that rank. Knowing Scott had more to give, he became a Navy Limited Duty Officer, aka a Mustang. Once again highly competitive, approx. 10% of all that apply get accepted. One of the reason Scott was promoted so well, is his ability to teach systems and process to a wide variety of sailors, and some good skills at managing people. Scott retired after 26 years (2014) and started working towards doing real estate investing full time.

Scott is a cash flow investor, aka buy and hold strategies, so this process takes a little longer that a normal fix and flip investor. In Scott’s local REI community he runs the Study Group program, to help new and seasoned investors understand their education platform and get the most out of the programs. Scott facilitate helping everyone learn their investor ID, increase their financial literacy and start making wealth in real estate. The goal is to get them out of the rat race, using REI as the vehicle.
