MAKER GALAXY – SolidSmack

We’re always talking about the future of design, the future of technology, the future of MAKING. In a world where smart air conditioners can turn themselves on or off based on your GPS location, a world where 11-year-olds are creating successfully crowdfunded products, how do we find the next ‘big thing’? MakerGalaxy is a show that explores the crossroads of Design, Technology, and the Future of Making.

This week we talked E Ink with the founder of an E Ink-inspired design firm, Twelve24. Andy Mitchelides is not only a seasoned veteran in the E Ink industry having helped develop various consumer electronics, but he is also the project manager for the largest manufactured E Ink display to date…The ClockOne.

We’ll talk with Andy about everything from how he got his start in product design with a background in marketing, how he developed the ClockONE to how his design team approaches working with E Ink and more!

To find out more about Andy, Twelve24, or the ClockONE, head over to Twelve24Clocks.com.
