Making Friends Outside My Race, Letting Go of Internal Barriers

I grew up in a Black community with strong cultural influences that shaped how I saw other races. Now, at 41, I’m learning to challenge those biases and open up to friendships outside my race.
In this conversation, you'll hear me referencing the white race quite a bit. During my youth, this was the primary group that was often discussed. While some may find the term "white race" offensive, my intention is not to offend but rather to reflect on my past experiences and perspectives.
