Interested in PR? Then you PRobably want to listen to our conversation with Daanish. Daanish currently runs a student-related public relations association named PR Ramp and has had countless work experiences that help him function efficiently in his field. He has extremely interesting ideas about a lot of topics including philosophy and filmmaking too.
Maleeka is wrapping up her first year at YaleNUS College in Singapore. She has had a consistent passion for Economics and Politics which she has demonstrated with her internships, projects, and involvement in school. We had a conversation with her about her experiences as a first-generation student in a liberal arts university, the crazy achievements she had in her gap year (she was a radio personality too!) and the problems that she is interested in solving through her work. We have always admired Maleeka’s perseverance and we were extremely proud to have her on our podcast!
Tune in to our awesome convo with Dayan with a focus on research: what it is, how to get started, and what to expect. Unfortunately due to a technical glitch, we lost a portion of the conversation but thankfully the bulk of the important content was retained! Dayan is an amazing individual and a powerful self-starter and we could all take a page out of his book!l
Ruqaiyah is an offer holder for the MSc in Speech and Language Sciences program at UCL. She also graduated from UCL with a Bachelors in Experimental Linguistics which is a tremendous achievement. We were extremely curious to know about her program and the other experiences she has had as a student including her work as a youth advocate at war and we were extremely glad when she agreed to come on our podcast to discuss her work further! There is no debate that she is a real-life superhero.
Navidu is currently a Tech Strategy Consultant at Deloitte UK and attended Imperial College London for most of his undergraduate and graduate studies. Moneli is in her final year reading Economics and Business at UCL (University College London). Navidu and Moneli truly immersed themselves in their student experiences in the United Kingdom and they have a lot of advice about how to succeed through life in college/university and how to frame your thought process for success outside college. We were extremely happy that they agreed to come on and we are certain that you will learn a lot from this episode
Both of us had different experiences with leaving home but we also realised how similar our emotions about figuring life out outside home is as first-generation students. We thought it was a good topic for conversation since we hadn't spoken about this personally before either.
