We have all heard of the many little things that couples do to keep perspective, especially those who have been together for a long time, like "let the little things go, find the humor in life, and focus on the good.

What about planning a trip that's just for you two . . . without kids or work or any other distractions?
What if you just planned on doing that once a year . . . every year.
Imagine all that you and your spouse would have to talk about, to plan together, to look forward to together and to dream together.
The first week in November is when Nick and I decided we would do that for our marriage.
We try to do something every year that's just for us. A time to reconnect with one another and remember why we actually fell in love . . . and continue to do so.
