Making Waves

A show on Holy Saturday on Real FM, hosted by Litsa Piskera, connecting with South African Greeks.

On International Women's Day this year, we were honoured to have the Cypriot High Commissioner, the honorary Mr Andonis Mandritis, on the show, and we interview Mrs Evdokia Papachristoudi about her upcoming book on the history of Eastern Romelia- Northern Trace, and her passion for the Greek language and Hellenic culture. 

We spoke to Mr Charalambos Pappas, on Hellenic Radio, who is part of the South African Hellenic Federation team that is working on our original South African Hellenic Flag song. Also in the team is Mrs Eleni Ladas, who has arranged the song and worked on it in the studio, and Theo Pandazis, who has composed the music. A short chat with the President of the Hellenic Community of Pretoria, Mr Kimi Efthimiades on Hellenic Radio.

Mrs Anastasia Krystallidis, is a former Executive Head of Saheti school and was a teacher there for four decades. This episode is a continuation from last year's series of shows, highlighting significant Greek words and values that are interwoven in the Hellenic culture. The shows with Mrs Krystallidis, add meaning to the upcoming 25th of March celebrations of the Hellenic Federation of South Africa, that will be held on the 10th of April 2022.

Saheti School in Senderwood - Wednesdays from 4pm - 6:30pm and Fridays from 2:30pm to 3:30pm (kiddies class)

Pretoria Hellenic Community - Wednesday and Friday afternoons
