This episode of Off The Record featured amazing segments starting with our 5-minute news report where Bryce Johnson aka DJ Gentle gave an update on pressing news cycling throughout campus such as women’s pro soccer, arts exhibits, and more. In the theme of arts, we were joined by Carey Courson where she interviewed artist and muralist Mwanel Pierre-Louis, as she dived into his latest event where he finished a mural in the presence of an audience! Followed by that enticing interview, for our brand-new mental health segment, there was a prerecorded interview given by Ryan Romero aka DJ Romi to Professor Joey Weisler discussing topics of mental health in the classroom. As always, our sports update given by Anthony Greaves aka DJ Ant, a sharkcage business interview about student led business Jaws and Lime given by Gabriela Alvarado aka DJ G and Natalia Vega aka DJ Naty. Of course, the episode was rounded off my our pop culture segament featuring Marlee Card aka DJ Mojo, Zach Mueller aka DJ Neptune, and Mike Lynn, where we discusses trending topics such as Anna Delvey on Dancing with the Stars, the remembering of Maggie Smith and much more!

This week’s Off The record included amazing segments which started off a quick 5- minute news report by Bryce Johnson also known as DJ Gentle, followed by an interesting, prerecorded interview with Carey Courson and Miami City Theatre’s Artistic Director, Margaret Ledford talking about everything her job entails. In honor of Hispanic Heritage month starting on the 15th of September, this episode included an interview with Nathan Tiburt of the Latin American Student Association complemented with rich conversation by Ryan also known as DJ Romi! It was not to miss! The interviews kept coming with an eye-opening conversation with Alexandra Forcier and Helen Abrieu who are co-founders of an amazing business called Journal and Bloom, this discussion was joined by Marlee aka DJ Mojo and Natalia aka DJ Naty where we touched on topics of mental health. For sports lovers, we had the latest statistics on sports on NSU’s campus given by Anthony aka DJ Ant and Ryan aka DJ Romi! Of course, to end off the program, we had an invigoration discussion on the latest in the pop culture world, touching on topics such as the VMA’s, Beyonce and much more!
Today's episode of Off The Record x B-Side, hosted by Jonesia Martimbor, Denisia Martimbor, and Assistant Director of Student Media Michael Lynn, marked the farewell for graduating host Denisia Martimbor as well as staff members Yosef Nahon, and Ana Azambuja. Leaders from each section of Mako Media Network shared a recap of the semester and expectations for the next. Dr. Mario D’Agostino and Michael Lynn discussed favorite moments from their show B-Side. Ritchy Laguerre from The Office of Campus Life summarized this semester's events, and Denisia reviewed the prescreening and press conference of the new movie Challengers.
On this episode of "That's News To Us," Dr. Eric Mason featured Carlo Ricchi, Adjunct Faculty for the Mako Band - as well as students from the Mako Band and Bossa Nova Chorale, including Heidi Hellenbrand and Nathalie Marin - on NSU news, as well as current events!
This Off the Record featured a packed and intriguing lineup, starting with an informative interview with Jeremy Ignatius from Green Sharks in honour of Earth Day, followed by a CAPS office update given by the amazing Johnny Kevorkian. Kristen Anti also stopped by to give us the full scoop on a new exciting collaboration called One NSU where different initiatives on campus such as Pawsitivity was discussed. Of course, these segments were enhanced by a special sports coverage given by practicum student, Tyler Monezone, on NSU baseball athlete, George Zogodi, along with a special prerecorded interview with the amazing Samantha Ramsdell who currently holds the Guinness World Record for biggest mouth! As usual we highlighted an outstanding student led business here on campus, Dispensing Beauty. We finished it off with our captivating pop culture segment discussing Coachella, Tayler Swift’s new album, and much more juicy topics. This is not a show to miss!
