Oh nephew (“maruga”) of Vishnu (“Maal”), Six-faced (“Shanmukha”) Muruga, Guha!

He is the form(“svarUpa”) of Omkaara that includes all of creation (“nAn marai sAra”).

He is the lord (“svAmi”) that rides (“vAhanE”) on a peacock (“mAmayil”) and is brave (“pratApa”)

He is the lord (“nAthan”) of the mountain (“mallai), Velli mallai.

He is the son (“bAlA”) of Gauri, i.e. Parvathi.

I don’t seek (“kANEn”) any other (“vEru”) shelter or company (“tuNai”). Please come (“vandu”) and protect (“ALAi”) me (“ennai”).

He is the husband (“maNALA”) of Valli and Deivayani. He is a kind one (“dayALA”).
