Fra den 6. til den 12. maj er der Strangles Awareness Week - en uge som sætter fokus på kværke. Her er formålet at skabe mere opsigt omkring sygdommen, og hvordan smitte kan forebygges bedst muligt. Vi har talt med dyrlæge og forsker i intern medicin Lynette Ramsey om, hvordan man bedst forholder sig, hvis der er kværke i stalden, og hvordan man kan undgå, at smitten breder sig.

Nogle ville sige, at Mattssons Rideklub har et samvær, der går ud over det sædvanlige. Da vi trådte ind på gårdspladsen, blev vi mødt af den ugentlige champagneklub i rytterstuen og en midaldrende herre i ridetøj, som fortalte, at han havde været på besøg hos samtlige mennesker i rytterstuen, og det har de andre også. Traditionen tro bliver der drukket portvin i mængder, som andre rideklubber sjældent kan hamle op med, og det vrimler med folk, heste og hunde selv en fredag formiddag klokken 10. Men hvad er det, der gør forholdende så særlige lige netop på denne rød- og hvidmalede rideklub tæt på København?
