Starting in Little Rock Arkansas, and showcased by Disney at DisneyWorld Hollywood Studios from 1995-2016, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights is a sparkling little gem of Disney history. Listen in to this week's holiday themed minisode to learn about the inspiration behind this amazing light display, the altercation with neighbors, which lead to involvement of the Supreme Court and ultimately ended the Osborne family initial display, until Disney stepped in!

Join us for this week's holiday minisode as we get ready for the holidays by deep diving into the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House in Orlando, Florida! A feat of edible engineering, it stands at 14 feet tall, is made from 10,000 pieces of gingerbread and 700lbs of chocolate. Not only is it a marvel to see, it functions as small retail shop and you can purchase a delectable gingerbread shingle onsite!

This week's Minisode themed drink is a mocktail using a homemade cranberry ginger syrup (find full recipe on our instagram @MamaNeedsMoreDisney).

This week, we deep dive into the history of the Disneyland California Adventure ride, Monster's Inc: Mike and Sulley to the Rescue! We discuss the history of the ride's predecessor, the ill-fated Superstar Limo and explore how Disney Imagineers had to pivot and find an alternative theme to make the ride work for park attendees.  Set to close permanently in early 2026 to make way for the rumored Avatar expansion, catch this endearing ride while you can!

This week, we wrap up our trip around the World Showcase and find ourselves deep diving the Mexico Pavilion! After drooling over the delicious food and drinks options available in the pavilion, we marvel at the immersive experience in the open air market located inside the pyramid. Then we venture into the abandoned pavilions and concepts for the World Showcase, that never came to fruition.

This week, we delve into the creation of a visual icon and masterpiece. Standing at 145 feet tall, the Tree of Life can withstand hurricane force winds and is the perfect beacon, welcoming guests to explore Animal Kingdom in  Orlando, Florida. We marvel at the creative genius that resulted in around 325 animal faces which feel as though they are emerging from the tree itself. Not only is it a beautiful icon, it is the gateway to the beautiful discovery trails and holds a full theater below and will be opening soon with the newly rethemed 4D show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether!

This week we marvel at the grandeur and symbolism represented in the China Pavilion, where you can find an engineering feat of the whispering circle. Then we migrate to the frosty fjord of Norway, with its charming sod roofs, dragon scale shingles and home to Epcot's first thrill ride, Maelstrom (now Frozen Ever After). This overlay showcases Jack Skellington and his friends from the Nightmare Before Christmas bringing holiday cheer to the 999 happy haunts of the classic Haunted Mansion.
