Final Fight with a horror skin, Night Slashers saw us take on classic horror monsters and their horde of evil minions.  Developed in 1993 by Data East, this beat 'em up brought all the game features together we like to see in an arcade if only they had a better soundtrack!  In conjunction with our good friends at Big Dumb Monsters podcast we played through and kicked our way through the armies of Death!

Imbued with mighty powers of different animals and dinosaurs alike, the Power Rangers faced off against an army of ooze and putty baddies to save Angel Grove.  Developed in 1995 by SIMS Banpresto for the Sega Genesis, this movie adaptation of the near and dear to our hearts story has a full cast of all the Rangers of the time.  Facing off against the main movie villain Ivan Ooze, we fight through some lineups and with our Zords all the acrobatics imaginable.

Sent to Earth to defend it's people from the evil Queen Beryl, the Sailor Soldiers use their special powers to combat her forces.  Developed in 1993 by Angel, this beat-em-up features the Sailor powers of all the planet soldiers to fend off the Dark Kingdom.

Sent by Zeus himself to save his daughter Athena, two warriors battle through Neff's underworld army.  Altered Beast was developed in 1988 by superpower Sega.  Loaded with power-ups and transformations, we make our way through the punishing levels and bosses in this popular and expansive universe.

Take an ancient shogun rising from the grave, add some good guy ninjas and make one part cowboy.  That's the route Sengoku takes in 1991 from developers SNK and Data East.  Super ninja powers, leather chaps, and mystical orbs help us see the demise of the evil shogun and save our modern realm from annihilation.

The 80's were a different time, women were aggressive gang members attacking karate gi sporting good guys. A crossbow wielding, wheelchair rolling, swole baddie makes us take up arms in Final Fight which was created in 1989 by Capcom. No dance numbers in this gang war, but you can bet there was a ton of graffiti and knives.

The long awaited episode nine tosses us into the world of Yuria with all of the classic Conan tropes.  Magic, sexy ladies in iron bikinis, and a muscley Arnold look alike as the protagonist, Golden Axe was created in 1989 by Sega.  We get a pleasant surprise when we play through the original story to the Golden Axe series and save the King and Princess of Yuria.  Spoiler alert, there were no camels punched in this game.

Our eight episode has us putting together our duo of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.  Created in 1991, the Data East game features a projectile mechanic and a new method for counting the score.  Facing off against some of the Avengers greatest foes we certainly didn't have to revenge anyone!

Our seventh episode gives us the X-Gene and powers us up to tackle Magneto and his diabolical plot.  Developed in 1992 by Konami, our favored 6 person deluxe arcade comes to life and we spring into action with our new powers, SNIKT!

In our sixth episode we explore the magical world of Santa and his evil twin?!  In this Norwegian developed, Funcom game for SNES we take turns attempting to save the Christmas prep of Santa with his Krampus twin!
