On a "CANADA DAY" special episode of "FOOTY EDITION" on, MAMMA MIA THIS IS FIRE TALK, I was joined by Toronto born, Canadian International Midfielder, currently wearing #6 and playing with Atlético Ottawa, in the (CPL's) Canadian Premier League....Chris Mannella.   

Chris went through the Toronto FC Academy ranks, before signing for the first team, then sticking with Canada football thus far competing on TFC III, TFC II, Vaughan Azzurri in the Semi-Professional League 1 Ontario and USL side Ottawa Fury. The Fury dissolved in 2020 and then Chris went to play for York 9 in the CPL, before making the move to the city he has found a home in Ottawa, with Atlético Ottawa.

On episode 41 of, MAMMA MIA THIS IS FIRE TALK, I had the honour to speak with a legend Play by Play Announcer for the Detroit Redwings, of the National Hockey League (NHL)...Ken Daniels!  

Ken is entering his 25th season as the Voice of the Redwings, who has had several experiences being on TV and Radio. He was on Hockey Night In Canada, with Don Cherry and Ron MacLean. Ken has also broadcasted, Toronto Blue Jays Baseball, Formula One and two Olympic Games.

Daniels won the Ty Tyson Award for Excellence in Sports Broadcasting from DSM in an on-ice ceremony Sept. 30, 2011 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, prior to a Red Wings game.  

Daniels' also has a book called: "If These Walls Could Talk: Detroit Red Wings" (Triumph Books), which was released in October 2017.

On a historic episode 40 of, MAMMA MIA THIS IS FIRE TALK, I had the absolute honour to be joined by former Humboldt Broncos assistant captain and Author of his own Book: ‘Crossroads’....Kaleb Dahlgren.  

Kaleb is 1 of 13 survivors of the horrific Humboldt Broncos bus crash, that happened just over three years ago.   

Kaleb played junior hockey in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with the Notre Dame Hounds and the Humboldt Broncos before moving to Ontario for a few years to study at York University, as he was also a part of the York U Lions men’s varsity hockey team.  

A type one diabetic, Kaleb is the founder of Diabeauties, as well as studying to be a chiropractor...with his true mission of giving back to the community!   

The perseverance, positivity and fantastic attitude of this young man is truly inspiring, in a fantastic episode…You surely do not want to miss this.

On the fourth episode of "FOOTY EDITION," which is episode 39 of the show, I was joined by professional footballer for 2x Canadian Premier League champion Forge FC ... Chris Nanco! Forge has been the only championship team since the CPL's inaugural season in 2019.   \

Nanco played for the Syracuse Orange Men’s Soccer Team for three years in the NCAA D1 Soccer, where he played forward.  

Chris played youth soccer in Ontario with Brampton Youth SC and with an academy team, Sigma FC, where he was coached by Bobby Smyrniotis who now also coaches the reigning CPL champs.  

Before coming to Hamilton, as one of Forge FC’s first signings, Nanco was drafted by FC Dallas, at the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, 55th overall. He was then traded to the Philadelphia Union, where he spent one season with their affiliate club, formally known as the, Bethlehem Steel.  

Nanco also represented Canada at the U17 and U20 levels.

On the 38th edition of, MAMMA MIA THIS IS FIRE TALK, I was pleased to be joined by, Ontario Junior Hockey League Buckland and Dudley-Hewitt cup champion...Alton McDermott! 

Alton is committed to Canisius College in Buffalo for this NCAA D1 fall 2021/2022 season.  

Alton has grown up around hockey as his grandfather Mr. Paul Henderson is a former NHL player and Hockey Canada Legend, when he led Team Canada to victory at the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union. Henderson scored the game-winning goal in the sixth, seventh and eighth games.

On the third episode of “FOOTY EDITION,” which is episode 37 of the show...I have the absolute pleasure and honour to be joined by, professional footballer...Lucas Cavallini.! Lucas is the striker for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC of Major League Soccer (MLS) and a striker for the Canadian Men’s National Team!  

Cavallini has played professionally in Uruguay and Mexico before coming back to Canada to join Vancouver, on a record-breaking club transfer fee from Mexican side Puebla!

On the second episode of "FOOTY EDITION," which is episode 36 of the show, I was joined by professional footballer for 2x Canadian Premier League champion Forge FC...Kwame Awuah!  Forge has been the only championship team since the CPL's inaugural season in 2019.   

Awuah played for the UConn Huskies where he played as a left back, a center midfielder, and a left winger. He won many awards during his time there, including being selected to the American Athletic Conference First Team multiple times.  Kwame played youth soccer in Ontario and with an academy team, Sigma FC, where he was coached by Bobby Smyrniotis, who now also coaches the reigning CPL champs.  

Before coming to Hamilton to play with Forge, Awuah was drafted by former French National Team legend Patrick Vieira, who was the coach for New York City FC, at the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, sixteenth overall. He played with legends in the likes of Spanish sensation David Villa and Italian legend who is the current manager of Juventus in Serie A, Andrea Pirlo.  

Awuah also represented Canada when he was called up to the Canada U23's by new national team manager Octavio Zambrano in March 2017 for some friendlies. Then manager Zambrano called him up to the senior team on May 6, 2017 for a camp and the provisional squad for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
