We continue our series in the book of Acts. This morning we look at the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.

The opening subject in this series of verses is; test the spirits.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8

Sometimes we all have Selective Hearing. The message can be clearly spoken yet; you can listen and not really hear what is being said at all.

For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 1 John 3:11

What is the connection between your praying and our preaching?

Acts is a historical account of how the resurrection of Jesus changes everything through the birth of the early church.

Pray all the time with all kinds of prayer: There are no limits.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16

We will never know what it means to have “exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask or think” until we allow God to strengthen our inner man.
