The Feeding of the Five Thousand

It takes more than a crowd to be His church

In Gospel of John 5, Jesus presents undeniable evidence that He is God—yet people still reject Him, not for lack of proof, but because of an unwilling heart that refuses to honor Christ, love God, and believe the truth. This message confronts us with a sobering reality: salvation is offered to all, but it is received only by those willing to turn from self and truly believe.

Now two weeks following the Resurrection all that has occurred still weighs heavy on their minds.

To close the 5th chapter we have one long discourse from Jesus as He declares His deity.

Jesus promised a "helper," which arrived as a rushing wind and tongues of fire, representing the Holy Spirit's arrival.
