No guys I swear you should let this value Intuition resolve.
Commander creates some of the most dynamic boards and gamestates in the entirety of Magic and especially when you are playing at the top level there's a lot threats out there, both seen and unseen. Today Atlas and Joe talk about what is threat assessment what they view when surveying the battlefield and how to figure out who really is the threat. So come on down and have a drink with us!
Burned so brightly you can see it from space
While we all love and care about Magic and Cedh, sometimes we just don't have that dog in us to keep going all the time and that's ok. Recently Joe has been going through the motions as it were dealing with some competitive burnout. Atlas and Joe break down their experiences with burnout, going through burnout and potential solutions for those also experience the flames. Thankfully fires are put out by good drinks, you should come on down and get one with us!

Cedh is really about who has the best sigma grindset.
We here at Mana on The Rocks appreciate the grind. The relentless conviction to ones personal path of growth and broadening horizons. The willingness to improve with the hopes of one day making it out the other side stronger and better, even if we go 0-2-1. This week Atlas and Joe talk about Atlas's continued rampage of the PNW, Joes new brew fascinations and seeing where the dust has settled on the Lord of the Rings set. Sounds like you should come on down and get a drink with us!

A deck that is sure to steal the game, your heart, your car and your wife.
Eckszy's list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/FysNluhuT02cDRAVY90p5Q
Its Local Brew time! Grixis is a funny deck in that it's really only good at doing like 2 things maximum but our guest Eckszy has a different approach on the subject. Eckszy has brought on Cormela, Glamour Thief a very different approach to the typical Grixis shell with some top tier spice to match. So come on down and get a drink with us as we talk all things Grixis and stifles.
No guys I swear Basking Rootwalla deserves a slot in the deck.
One of the neat things about commander is having a hard limit to the maximum amount of cards a deck has. Naturally this make the competition for those slots very competitive and any given slot needs to be given a lot of thought. But what does this look like? What kind of questions should you be asking? Will I stop asking this silly questions in the show notes? I'm not sure about that last one but what I am sure about is you should come on down and have a drink with Atlas and Joe as they break down how they go over picking cards for their decks.
WOTC said that carboard is sometimes illegal.
With Orcish Bowmaster taking over the entire Cedh discussion some people have started to clamor for a ban over this little guy. Lucky for those guys, Joe has a fascination with cardboard legality and Atlas has some pretty hot takes on what actually should be banned. Come on down and grab a drink with us as we discuss the fine arts of illegal cardboard lists!
Welcome to Counter & Removal, where our Force of Wills are always hot and our mana is always untapped, how many for a room?
Oh, It's you, the Mana on The Rocks boys. Will we be staying in the usual Interaction Suite? Yes of course right this way. We hope you find our amenities to your liking. The Swords have been freshly sent to the Plowshares, The Assassin's Trophy has been been polished and the Force has been Willed and Spiked to your liking. Enjoy Your Stay.
This week Atlas and Joe cover what it takes for a removal spell to deserve a slot in your deck, differing types of interaction and just a dash of where the meta is now. So come on down and have a drink with us!
Hot takes are what cause me to become enlightened.
Bit of a different episode this week as Atlas and Joe head on over to the PDX Cedh discord channel for a Live Brew around Narset, Enlightened Exile. A pretty spicy Jeskai commander that the Bois think has some potential in our format.

Some say Blue Farm never looked quite the same after meeting Zada

Oh god, the Mana on The Rocks boys are back to talk about another deck, maybe this time it will be something that's based. Today Joe brings on one of our good friends: Tyler. Tyler has brought on the most based underground deck you haven't heard of in 5+ years: Zada Hedron Grinder. A spicy goblin storm deck that has the format's best decks squarely in its crosshairs.
The boys and crew have been busy.
Its summer grinding time babyyyyy. Joe and Atlas have been busy touring around the PNW grinding all kinds of Cedh tournaments and now they're back to chronicle their adventures, observations on the meta, new spoilers and more. So come on down and get a drink with us!
