The technological gap is a big issue in education. We have to be aware of what technological issues our students are facing. If we don't find out where they need help, then we can not adjust their experience so that they can learn the information. What does that mean for us educators, coaches, and mentors? If cognition is referring to thinking, then metacognition is thinking about thinking. This means that we're going to look at an idea, see how it connects to our lives, and then connect that information to what we have learned. Basically, metacognition is a pumped-up stage of critical thinking.

You have a responsibility to the people that you have decided to take under your wing. You are now responsible for their education on top of their ability to create connections. If you provide them with the best resources you can find, then your students are going to be better prepared to take on the world and apply what you have taught them.
