Welcome back to JourneyWise. Join our hosts as they tackle the tough topic of loss and grief. Ronnie shares the story of losing his father who had a stroke, fell into a 12-year stroke-induced coma, and passed away. Shane, James, and Ronnie give perspective on the 5 stages of grief that we all work through upon the loss of a loved one and remind us through scripture we know that God intends for us to love and invest in others even at the risk of losing everything. Jesus tell us in the Beatitudes “blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted” and Paul tells us that God comforts us so that we can comfort others.
2nd Corinthians 1: 3-4 (NIV)
"…the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
Matthew 5:4 (NIV)
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
