Happy Mondays singer Rowetta Satchell, needs little introduction.  Her voice is the synonymous sound of Manchester from the late 80’s right through to today.  

Born and raised in North Manchester, the spirit of the region runs through Rowetta’s veins -  from her love of Manc humour and cool weather - to the most bizarre chippy order ever!

Join Lisa Morton as she hears about the resilience that saw Rowetta leave a women’s aid refuge with two children, aged 21, to tour the world with the Happy Mondays. You’ll also hear about the women in Rowetta’s childhood, who supported and nurtured her talent for singing.
