“When given an opportunity, grab with both hands and take it “
Commercial Litigator Geraldine Ryan is a born and bred Greater Mancunian (despite her scouse twang!). Having spent her career working across the north west, she’s currently a partner at the International Law firm CMS in Manchester.
Geraldine’s family values have served her well in her career. You’ll hear about those, as well as some of the life lessons that emerged from some of the biggest cases that she has acted on. Including “wading through a scrum of the world’s press” to get Wayne Rooney into the courtroom to give evidence.
A job well done for Geraldine means her clients often don't want to see her again, however she tells host Lisa Morton how gaining a client’s trust and their reliance upon her is so important.
------
Your host, Lisa Morton, started PR company Roland Dransfield in 1996, one month after the fateful IRA bomb that tore apart the city centre. From that point, the business, and its team members, have been involved in helping to support the creation of Modern Manchester – across regeneration, business, charity, leisure and hospitality, sport and culture.
To celebrate the 25 years that Roland Dransfield has spent creating these bonds, Lisa is gathering together some of her Greater Mancunian ‘family’ and will be exploring how they have created their own purposeful relationships with the best place in the world.
