Vidyamala is passionate about the revolutionary potential of mind and heart training and has a sense of urgency about making the most of the life that we have, whatever our circumstances, to be as fully present and kind as possible.

Drawing on her own experience of many years’ mindfulness practice, she shares with us its importance and the role it can play in helping us lead a happy and fulfilled life.

Sona spends much of his time teaching mindfulness. He teaches people how to work with difficulties such as pain – whether physical, mental or emotional – illness and stress.

By using mindfulness and positive emotion we can let go of the things we really don’t need, including fixed views, so we can experience a greater degree of liberation and freedom.

In this talk, given at the Manchester Buddhist Centre on 31st March 2012, Sona – a senior member of the Triratna Buddhist Order – describes his lifelong search for meaning.
