As promised, our interview with the  Scott Men (Reggie, Camon & Talon). Listen as these young men share briefly how they go about creating their works of art in the mediums of spray paint with saran wrap, markers and paper.

Also, great insight from their father Reggie, the worship leader at Fielder Church in Arlington, Texas. Listen in on his thoughts of how he and his wife (Mackenzie) open the door for their sons creativity. Ever been scared to do something new or different that you knew would be a success? Adding to that unforeseen issues made us put those plans on the shelf? Well today we briefly talk about Launching in Faith.

Gideon had to put whatever plans he had on hold due to war knocking at his door. It even made him have to learn a new skill. But in that he was able to follow three steps that brought him success, Identify, Tearing Down and Building.

Covid-19 struck us quickly and hard that we realized how unprepared we were. However, I truly believe though, that as a nation we are getting into a new norm. That means its time to get back to those plans.

So this episode is a little more personal. With the passing of our patriarch, Michael Caterson, I decided to briefly explore the topic of 'Legacy'. At the end of my time I would have loved to see all my children at the dinner table, noticing how beautiful and great they are and will be. Fathers, I ask you this? What will be your legacy? What is that one word or statement they will remember you by? Is there an item you cherish that can be passed down, like an old jacket, ring. Do you have a favorite secret recipe they can have? What is your legacy?

Joash, as many men, had a tremendous opportunity to not only stand up for his son and his actions, but to be a mentor in times of pressure. As we transition to the next stages of our lives, who we do we have in our corner pushing, guiding, directing and empowering us to be the best version of ourselves?

Gideon was catapulted into a role that he considered not worthy to hold because of how he saw himself in the mirror. Though addressed by the angel of the Lord as a "mighty man of valor", he couldn't see it because he was a man under stress and pressure. We will not always have everything in place when it's time to transition upward. However, having the right support system can aid in navigating the path.

Judges 6:25-31

There comes a time when we are catapulted into a role we didn't petition or train for. In either case, how do we navigate that role. Gideon has now been called to his purpose to be the savior of Israel. However he had to prove himself in the way of going against what was the norm for his people. 

Are you willing to stand up and go against the grain for what is right?

This Might Man of Valor committed an act of 'treason' against his people and their worship of Baal and Asheroth. But was right in the eyes of God in that we should not have any other gods above him.

In doing anything worthy of God's love, not everyone needs to be privy. Matter of fact, it will have to be done at a time less convenient, but it will save your life.
